I was a guest at a wedding to one of my relatives. There is so much to say but I’ll try and keep it short. The venue is right on the wharf next to the boats and on the ground floor. Anyone inside can see the outside(and vice versa) due to the glass wall facing the wharf side. It is very spacious, easily accommodating up to 300 people or so. The service was quite good with everything meticulously laid out on the tables including the cutlery, bread, some kind of olive oil and black oil dip and an ice bowl of wines. Entrée, mains and desserts were good overall but I didn’t like the dessert that much and the length of time between main and dessert was a little delayed. When I was looking around where the dessert was, I came across a dessert table/kiosk away from the dance floor but within the middle of the venue. The sound and lighting were also fairly good with a relatively compact stage and dance floor but that’s not to say it wasn’t crowded! In addition to the DJ, there was also a live band. There was also a photo booth and a bar on one side with the bathrooms at both ends. The staff friendly and willing to help you have the best experience and although I could’ve explored and stayed a bit more, it was more than enough for me.

I was honoured to be invited as a guest to a high school friends wedding. As both the bride and groom come from families in the restaurant business, food was high up on their list of things to get right at their wedding. FOOD I had high expectations and Dolton house delivered. The food was AMAZING right from the start. Canapes consisting of bbq meat and seafood, blue cheese tarts, smoked kingfish with caviar, meatballs just to name a few. 30mins worth of canapes and they did not stop coming. I was really impressed with the wedding menu. TWO entrees. Outrageous! One of them brought in by Golden Century as personal touch from the bride’s family. Don’t know how they pulled this off but thank you Doltone House for letting it happen. Both entrees were fabulous! Generous portion sizes that I didn’t fancy my luck at finishing off my main meal. Mains were good but didn’t fair as well with the table as the entrees did. UNCOUNTABLE desserts. Outrageous x 2. We had the normal alternate serves of dessert + fruit flatter + candy buffet + chocolate fondue station + gelato cart and they they had the nerve to bring out cannoli all before the croquembouche wedding cake was pulled apart and distributed. Sugar OVERLOAD. Thank goodness for the doggy bags to take away some of the goodness from the candy buffet that Doltone house helped the bride and groom organise. VENUE Tables were beautifully decorated and in a strange oval shape which seemed to save room. It didn’t feel squishy though. Pretty sizable venue as there were 30 tables but they could have easily fit in more. Few technical difficulties with the projector screen which momentarily ruined one of the photo montages but it got fixed and replayed. The staff were very professional and did a good job at looking after the 300+ guests. OVERALL Great location where wonderful memories are sure to be made. The one thing I’m confused at though is I got served a green tea and on my saucer was a packet of sugar… ehhhh what??!
