I stumbled in here on a recent mosey along Prospect Road — thinking maybe I could uncover a gem for my wardrobe(they sometimes come from the most unlikely of places). A jam-packed store full of brightly coloured dressed, tables of shoes and accessories galore, it was a sensory overload when I walked in. The girl behind the counter was friendly and young, and spent most of the time I was there patiently helping an older, mum-ish lady with her purchases. Unfortunately, the clothes are not at all my style. I found the styles quite bland and cheap looking(and cheaply priced too). The older, mum-ish lady seemed to enjoy it though and walked out with a bag full of stuff. Just not for me.

I’m not entirely sure why there’s two identical stores named Lula Tu and Lula Blu on this street. I went into one store, passed an art gallery, and then walked into another store with the same teal blue Lula sign eerily similar to the one I was just in: it was like Groundhog day. Anyhoo Lula Tu is a bit of a mixed bag, with dresses that seemed designed for the more mature woman and some really nice stuff for the twenties. It’s quite reasonably priced and I found some cool work skirts and a dreamy black dress I had to try on even though it was a bit over my budget. I was oohing and ahhing over this dress in the change rooms, when I looked up and noticed the store camera was directly over the change rooms, so I got dressed quick smart. I’m sure I was being paranoid and the camera wasn’t actually recording me change… but still, why right over the change area? It creeped me out! Come on now Lula, you big perve!
