The boys behind the little hidden gem the White Oaks Saloon on Greville St have brought the best of the Americas down under. They have created a saloon-​style bar that offers authentic ‘Southern-​style’ food and an extensive list of approximately 200 craft spirits — one of Melbourne’s biggest back-​bars south of the Yarra River. Expect a Southern Mississippi Delta blues vibe with the sounds of Ray Charles and BB King that will have you doing the hoedown by the night’s end.

Nicholas and Thomas Welch both have extensive experience in the hospitality field. Combining their burning passion for liquor with their desire to travel, they spent a lot of time in the US and Mexico working with liquor engineers at distilleries. The limited market in Australia for small artisan brands inspired their own alcohol distribution company, through which they source more than 40 products to sell nationally.
