Patee Thai Restaurant

Heard praises about the food for a while, so feeling lazy one day, we ordered delivery which came in about 30min.
The food was excellent. The Tom Yum soups were great, and for mains we had Prawn Pad Thai and Massaman Lamb with Coconut Rice. The lamb with rice was exceptional, but all in all everything was super yummy and I’ll definitely go here one night when less lazy as its BYO too or order again if need be! :)

What a hidden treat! Went in a group of four and when my friend requested to sit upstairs I wondered why as there was plenty of spots downstairs!
With Thai decoration all around, Patee Thai was made extra fun because there were no chairs upstairs and instead you sat on comfortable cushions with backrests on the floor. Remember to take your shoes off and for those with stinky feet please don’t sit upstairs. Tight dresses and skirts are also not recommended for floor seating.

Chicken Pad Thai (I hogged this)
Fried Tofu and Vegetable Entrée
Lamb Massaman
Coconut Rice
Duck Curry
Chive Dumplings
Basically our plates were super clean after and we all had to be carried out of the restaurant. I can’t wait to come back!

I had this delivered for late night; had just been traveling all day and the girl at the front desk from the hotel suggested it. First of all, it took an hour and a half to deliver one dish and one appetizer. The egg rolls were cold when they arrived which made them chewy. Gross. The stir fry was hot however the flavor was not there (I order a 3) and it was overall just not good. What a really big waste of money and calories!!!

The food is. ok but a little on the expensive side for what you’re really getting. What really kills them for me is that they are habitually late for delivery. Their delivery estimate is usually 50 min to an hour, but they often take 1.5 hrs to arrive. This has happened 4 times now without apology. The last time the food was stone cold on arrival.

This place is great! Try the lamb curry. It’s a little bit rich so I normally go a plain rice to go with it. Yum!

A word from the wise– DON’T wear killer heels, stinky shoes or holey socks. This place is half tables on the floor, where you sit on the ground, and half normal tables.
Unless you have made a booking requesting one or the other, you never know where you will end up. And if you are on the floor, you have to take your shoes off.
This generally means dealing with your date’s feet in your lap as men seem bamboozled as to how to arrange their legs in any kind of space-​restricted area. I LOVE sitting on the floor, but maybe avoid this if:
a) feet freak you out
b) feet turn you on
b) you are on a first date
What else… oh yeah, the food is RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME. Try the pad see ew and the mango chicken. Oh, and the wait staff wear really cute gold pants. That is all.
