Lou Salon

It’s Melbourne cup day 2013, and this is essentially the only
hairdresser/​barber shop that seems to be open in Melbourne.
Every one else has insisted on being close.
I’ll admit, this sits at the higher end of hairdresser salons.
I’m pretty confident that this is usually a bookings only type deal,
but at the same time, the hairdressers are quite skilled at their craft.
Even so, I got a reasonably priced haircut, and got the shampoo
treatment which was quite nice indeed. There was a sole hairdresser
on shift on this day, but she did a great job, never getting flustered or
rushing and treating customers very well.
It was much better than the queue up, «next please, next please,»
type of super busy place. Lou Salon was not something I was looking
for, but it was a worthy find.
