History

Established in 2013.

kapd was founded in 2013 by Co-​Owners David Shipton and Jade Booth who noticed that there was only a limited range of headwear available within Australia, sometimes being quite difficult to access. The first exclusive headwear store in Port Melbourne opened its doors for the first time at the Grand Opening on Thursday the 21^st of November 2013 (Check out our photos from the night here) and following the successful night, the kapd online store launched in December 2013.

Meet the Business Owner

Jade B.

Business Owner

Jade is the co-​founder of kapd and your friendly store manager who you will meet when you enter the store.

Jade was excited to launch into a brand new industry. She completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Rehabilitation in 2007 and was employed by Fitness Australia, the Health & Fitness Industry Association, for 6 years in a variety of roles including continuing education, policy and standards development and developing their workplace health program. Jade is also currently studying her Masters of Public Health at Monash University, provides Mobile Spray Tanning through The Body Booth and is an athlete of the Victoria Maidens LFL team (Legends Football League)
