It’s all about the coffee here and it’s all good. I stopped in for a(short) macchiato and loved it. The flavour was excellent as was the temperature. The staff was up for a quick chat and super friendly to boot, and the décor and choice of color(orange, black, gray) in the store is great. This place is easily found, 2nd shop on your left when you enter st Martins Arcade from St George’s Terrace. It’s a near continuous coming and going of customers(mostly local office workers), but it has a good flow as most seem to have ordered from the Voltage App(available in iTunes and Android stores) or via one of their other social media accounts. Personally, I prefer to drink my coffee from a glass or cup(rather than take out) and for that it is fine too. There are a couple of tables and a long bench along the window inside, and several more tables ‘outside’ in the Arcade. Some newspapers to read are available as well. But, you might not be interested in those; I was too busy admiring the pretty coffee(four-leaf clover in my case — see pictures) and the wall art. The huge wall-filling print by Max Grundy, a personal favorite artist of the owner, is spectacular. From the artist’s site: «…scenarios are rendered in a style reminiscent of Russian World War II propaganda art. I have always admired their use of unusual perspective, limited color palette, dramatic text and design to create maximum effect». Awesome.

Just walking past saw this tucked away in the centre. Amazing coffee. Very well made. And the guy who runs it is really friendly. Definitely a new favourite spot for a pick me up.
