Standing Room Only

Not really impressed. The wait time was far too long given that they weren’t busy and the coffee came out bitter.
These guys are actually part of the Addison & Steele shop too.
The service was average as well :(

One of my favourite coffee shops in Perth. They always have different blends from around the world and if you ask they will tell you which bean goes best with the style of coffee you like to drink.
You never have to add sugar and the prices are cheap. Couldn’t ask for more than that.
Watching these guys make coffee is like watching an artist create a work of art.

Brilliant coffee and very nice service in a simple but funky niche. Hands down the best cup of coffee I’ve had in ages. I love Standing Room Only.

Outstanding coffee and service. I love getting my treat coffee (when my husband hasn’t got time to make me one in the morning) there before work. It is a small independent coffee shop in Piccadilly Arcade and the staff are really into their coffee. I usually get a take away small flat white and it’s always so so good! I try to venture out to try new or different coffee places, but all they seem to do is just confirm how lovely Standing Room Only coffee is!
It is hard for me to stray from my typical flat white, no sugar and full cream milk but I’m waiting on a really hot day to try their cold drip!
I love the blackboard which has quirky quotes and doodles. They update their Facebook page as well. The perfect way to perk up your day!

This café was rated 2^nd in Perth on the Beanhunter app. I was initially suspicious as it’s a hole in the wall type place in a city centre shopping arcade but glad I ventured in. Coffee was strong without being bitter and served at the perfect temperature. I can see why it has such good ratings. There’s no food (at all) and only one tiny table with no chairs (hence the name) so it’s not a café proper; it’s all about the bean. I had a small double shot latte and it cost $ 3.80. They offer all kinds of coffee brewing styles too. Would have given it 5 stars if they had muffins or carrot cake available :-)

What can I say about standing room only; they make an expert coffee, they have their own sense of identity and still find a way not to take it all to seriously (walk by and check out the chalk board sometime)
I have had milk coffee, and filtered and have enjoyed them equally

Slick service, excellent coffee and marvellous raspberry friands give Standing Room Only an edge over other cafés. The baristas are knowledgeable and friendly and clearly passionate about their craft. I especially enjoy the funny anecdotes on the blackboard, certainly puts a smile on my face!

We aren’t working with much real estate here, but that’s kind of half the magic. In the espresso bars of Italy, locals pop in for their morning coffee which is generally enjoyed along such «stand-​up» bars. Whilst a walk down Piccadilly Arcade is by no means a stroll through Florence, Standing Room Only has relatively the same concept and you will be rewarded with good brew!
The only downside of my most recent visit was that they were running low on the goods and only had their House Blend (usually, they have 3) on offer. There was also no speciality coffee, except for their Cold Drip ($ 5.00). Well, honestly — there’s nothing wrong with something dark and something sparkling in the morning to wash it all down with afterwards, is there? Sparkling water of course…
The boys know their craft and are totally lovely to chat to. If you stick around even just for 5 minutes, you’ll see them greet the regulars by first name and rattle off usual orders off the top of their heads. This place may be David in size, but it’s loyal following and passion for good coffee is totally Goliath!

I have recently been doing, what I have appropriately (and not at all dramatically) named, ‘Kasia’s Mini Awesome Solo City Coffee Expedition Extravaganzaaaaa’. Or in other words, trying out CBD coffee shops.
I really love coffee. For me it is a new and blossoming love so I like to try different types of coffee. Hot, cold and in between. Actually, maybe in between… not so much.
Standing Room Only has been my first stop this week and I have to say, they have set the bar quite high. Their cute little shop nestled in the Piccadilly Arcade is retro, classic and really inviting. I liked it alot.
I ordered a cappuccino and it was perfect temperature and beautifully smooth. Their coffee beans have a deep rich flavour that warms the soul. Get onto it Perth.
It’s going to be hard to top this one, who’s up for the challenge?

One of my favourite coffee places in the city is the Standing Room Only. It is located in Picadilly arcade, a little room where there are only bar stools in one corner and only enough room for people to stand around and wait until their coffee order is ready. It’s there for you to get good coffee and get it quickly. And at coffee happy prices (with good coffee to boot) why wouldn’t you stand around and wait?
At Standing Room Only, the selection of coffee blends are extensive. They have their default house blend, which I believe changes every now and then, then there is a single origin guest and a single origin bean by 5 senses (which is one of my faves!). They provide filtered coffee only. Usually filter coffee aren’t the best but Standing Room makes it with love and with all the apparatus on display, you know they know what they are doing.
There is also a choice of brewing methods, which is pretty cool, it ranges from espresso, syphon, V60, pour over and cold-​drip. If you aren’t a coffee nerd and not sure what it all means, just ask the friendly staff there and they will be more than happy to explain.
The guys here have made me change my mind about the whole coffee brewing process. Perhaps it is possible to get good filtered coffee, well, at Standing Room Only makes amazing filtered coffee (can’t guaranteed other places will…)
This place for your coffee lovers, no frills, just good coffee with friendly staff. And if they aren’t swamped by orders have a chat and learn a little about how to concoct a good coffee, or the different types of coffee beans or the difference between filtered and non-​filtered coffee and different methods of brewing. You be amazed by what’s available out there and the taste difference.

The lab coats, the coffee paraphernalia and the Standing Room Only; for this fresh kid on the block, it’s all about the craft. The creators/​baristas are clearly pitching the whole «fine science» angle and want you to be as serious about coffee as they are.
The location is convenient and this is definitely the finest cup of joe you will find in the city Mall.
My soy cappuccino this morning had a perfect, silky texture and delicious taste. A pleasure to drink. Well-​played boys.
