I see why the lines are ALWAYS long! I just can’t fault them. Really efficient and prompt, smiling faces, delicious food, great serving sizes and a bargain as most things are under $ 10. Eat it!!! The only weird thing was the line was full of young professional males in blue shirts. Guess I can’t hold them accountable for that, but even their customer base is lovely!

Newton circle is one of the best value lunch places in the city. The food is consistently good and most dishes are around $ 10. The only downside is that it can get very busy between 1200 – 1300 and it pushes out the waiting times by a bit. I usually get vegetarian hofun, kway teow or beehoon. All three are excellent, especially with a but of added chilli.

Love this place for cheap, freshly made food. I order the veggie kway tao, no egg, with chilli. It’s always served quickly and is delicious. Best lunch place in the CBD.

My new favourite place to go on my lunch break on the weekend! This place is so reasonably priced and the servings are extremely generous! The staff are extremely efficient! Highly recommend this place for a cheap, quick and tasty meal. The Singapore Bee Hoon is delicious!

14÷9÷15 My partner and I came into town to satisfy my strange craving for rochor noodles at Newton Circle. He had the satay chicken. He’s never been here before and surprised by the large portion size! I may have to come back later on in the week for laksa!

I found this little gem when I started working in the city 7 years ago. Since then I’ve been coming back regularly to get my fix of their Malaysian cuisine. Fried kuay teow, mee goreng and rochor mee are just some of the delicious items they have on their menu. The dishes are cooked to order, so they come straight out of the wok hot and mouthwatering. Do try and come before 12pm though, as then the lunch time rush can push the waiting time for your meal up to 10~15 mins! They do have pre-cooked foods which you can choose at the counter(love their curry chicken), and one important thing to remember is that their accept cash only, so always have $ 10 handy when you’re craving some honest and delicious Malaysian meal from Newton Circle!

Trying to decide where to go for lunch with work colleagues, going to a food court always seems like the smartest option because of the variety available. Today, we attended the upstairs food court of the Carillion Arcade. It’s a lot smaller by comparison to the lower level but that’s an advantage if you want to talk work over lunch. I was starting to feel the cold of winter so decided to go with a seafood noodle soup from Newton Circle. $ 10. I was actually expecting to pay more for it so was really happy with the price. I got a decent serve of noodles, seafood and soup for it too. And all brought to my table in under 5 minutes too! Definitely happy with that. Fast warm soup at a pretty good price. There’s also free wi-fi there as well so it’s awesome for work lunches. Definitely be coming back again.

Located at the top of the Carillon, this place is always busy and always turns out very reasonably priced and great tasting food. My personal favorite is the kuay teow, it is super tasty and has just the right level of heat(chilli) for me. I’ve always had a great meal from this place and the food is served very quickly, a great place all round.

Newton’s Circle, located in the top floor food hall of the Carillion complex — is where my favourite char kuay teow(and other hawker delights) await your palate. This place does the best kuay teow outside of Singapore. Wok fried within view this bustling counter does business during lunch time that must make fellow vendors envious but thankful for the overflow. Staff are efficient and friendly, pricing is fair and quality exceeds food hall expectations. Their food offer is far more than just my favourite kuay teow… on reflection I’d say Newton’s kuay teow is better than those I’ve experienced in Singapore. «For every force there’s an equal and opposite reaction» said Sir Isaac, isn’t that the truth. «The Truth is out there»…Fox Mulder
