As a spot to meet someone and grab a quick drink, the Lobby Lounge is more than serviceable. More than enough seating, good views, and any of your group meeting you shouldn’t have a problem finding you. However, that’s where the positives really end. One of the biggest problems within Crown is the complete lack of anywhere to grab a dessert which isn’t in one of their restaurants or on the casino floor. The only desserts they have on offer was a rather depressing key lime pie, and various cookies. Whilst the drinks prices were reasonable, the time taken to serve given the low traffic, and the rudeness and inattention of the staff spoils what could be a very good bar between shows, or a flutter on the casino floor. It’s one part of the experience at Crown that could really use a good shake up.

I completely agree with other reviewers on this bar: dismal doesn’t even begin to cover how incredibly awful their service is. Disappointing covers their extensive cocktail menu also. Dismal and disappointing. We went there for cocktails before going to see Dirty Dancing last night. One of my friends went to the bar and orders us all Italian Chocolate Martinis which, to Lobby Lounge’s credit, LOOKED amazing. However, when they arrived you struggled to taste any kind of alcohol in them. It just tasted like a chocolate milkshake. I don’t want my cocktails to taste like rocket fuel, but I also don’t want them to have nothing in them — especially at $ 19 each. The second time I went to the bar to order. It was chaos. No order to how you were served at all. I waited 20 minutes to get a bartenders attention and people who were coming up after me were being served first. The bartenders were clueless as to who was around them. I was particularly disappointed to witness two of the bartenders bitching about work in front of me whilst they made cocktails. Highly unprofessional, however from the service we were getting I can’t imagine Management is that crash hot either. After finally ordering and paying for my cocktails I thought awesome I can go back to seeing my friends and they’ll bring them out to me like they’re doing for everyone else. Nope! I had to stand there, wait another 15 minutes for them to be made and the bartender watched as I struggled to carry 3 cocktails back to where we were sitting. Having been a bartender myself at a classy establishment — huge no. The cocktails second time around were okay but not worth the $ 19 a pop. With a headlining event at Crown at the moment, I was surprised to see that they hadn’t put more bar staff on considering the sheer volume of people that were passing through the casino. Even hiring 2 extra flexi-staff for a couple of hours to cover the busy period would have seen a huge difference. Dismal and disappointing. I won’t be rushing back in a hurry.

Dismal doesn’t cover the service here. Dishes are piled on the bar, staff are walking around and orders not being filled in sequential order. The staff are far from friendly and certainly not accommodating. I ordered cocktails, waited nearly half an hour and they still haven’t come — other orders however have been filled. We ask where our order is and she’s completely forgotten and then continues to run around but does not start our drinks. The manager comes over and asks what the issue is, he apologises but doesn’t do anything else — no word with the waitress and no refund or discount! Cocktails thankfully were good but for $ 38 I would expect a smile and good service, there was none of that!

The lobby lounge is a great spot to meet up. Perfect for an informal business meeting, the lounge has a reasonable selection of drinks but would benefit from more tea choices. The breakfast menu is small so don’t come here expecting bacon and eggs.

After a wonderful meal at Guilluame we decided to have a nightcap at the lobby and sink into the wonderful lounges on offer. Unfortunately the cocktails were not going to provide us with any satisfaction at all. We ordered espresso martinis as we had a well executed EM at Guilluame. The drink was overly bitter and no alcohol could be detected. After approx 25 mins from ordering the drink to getting a replacement, we received new drinks. The bartender who made the drinks explained why it was different to our previous EM, but bitter coffee and lack of alcohol under tones was all the explenation I needed.
