I can never get too excited about burger bars. They serve a purpose and that purpose is to find a cheap and tasty meal when you truly can’t be bothered cooking. This Grill’d is located in the city and sometimes becomes my quick stop for dinner on the way home after yoga. The sweet potato chips always rock my world and I always manage to find something I like on the standard Grill’d burger menu.

When I get a craving for a big, juicy burger, I know I will get satisfaction if I head on over to the best burger joint in town — Grill’d in Shafto Lane. It is conveniently located on the Murray Street end of Shafto Lane making it easy to find. The fact that they use 100% grain fed beef and lamb, means the burgers are always bursting with flavour. It is also reassuring to know that the meat is hormone and additive free. There are so many options on the menu and on every visit I plan to be daring and try something else! However, my usual choice is the Summer Sunset — a lean beef patty with avocado, crispy lean bacon, golden pineapple, salad, relish and herbed mayonnaise. My bun of choice is the traditional wholemeal, though you may prefer the panini or the low carb super bun. To accompany my delicious burger, I always have a serve of sweet potato chips with sweet chilli mayonnaise. The service at Shafto Lane is always excellent as the staff are young, fun and full of energy. As it is licensed as well, one could enjoy a jolly evening with friends in a happy, relaxed atmosphere!

Decided to give Grilld a second chance on my business trip, after a crappy meal at St Georges Terrace(beef burger) thought I would give a Chicken Burger and Sweet Potato Fries a go! I wasn’t disappointed the burger was delicious and so were the sweet potato fries and these were complimented by the sweet chilli Mayo yum yum! Service was friendly & quick, very easy to grab a seat. Grilld just loses a star for how expensive it is to get such a simple meal this came to $ 22 without a drink! Can definitely recommend the chicken burgers but I’m not a fan of the beef burgers.

Came here on a Sunday before a basketball game and I think every other person going to the Wild Cats had the exact same idea. The place was packed but still easy to find a table and the food came out super-fast as well. Once you get a meal it ends up being around $ 25. My favourite burger is the Moroccan Lamb its sooooo good and I love the chips. Grilld have the option of sweet potato fries as well. It is also licensed which is another bonus!

For the love of fries head here now! Seriously even if you do not eat burgers the hot chips are oh so good! But that would only be a partial review; they have the works too, good service, wide selection of burgers, and some alcoholic beverages; all you based covered. There are an abundant selection of burger joints in Perth currently, this is one of my favourites at the moment; not certain if I buy the«healthy burgers» but they are tasty.

Healthier burgers and a good variety. Something different for when I want something that isn’t Bistro Burgers.

The cravings for Grill’d come at least once a week, usually on a Sunday evening. Luckily my fiancé gets the same craving and so Sunday evening Grill’d has become a bit of a tradition in our house. Up until now we have frequented Grill’d in Mount Lawley, but on this occasion were happy to check out its newest location in Shafto Lane. Same great burgers, same great taste. The service was excellent as usual and there was a minimal wait for our food. The interior is trendy, but warm and inviting. Although you don’t get the opportunity to people-watch as you do at the Mount Lawley location, you get the feeling that you are permitted to relax and linger over you food and drink for as long as you like without worrying about hogging the ever in-demand seating. Ooh.and the little touch that delighted me most was the addition of knives on the tables to help you manage your towering stacks of deliciousness!

The city is starting to have some pretty stiff competition for the Burger trade. There are no less than three specialist burger stores within 5 minutes of each other. Grill’d bring a lot to the table though, they’ve got some fantastic tasting burgers, and some awesome chips. The staff are always friendly and service is pretty quick. Not bad that’s it’s adjacent to a pub. Check it out if you’re down this end of town.
