*3.5 Stars* Another round of high school hunting activities done and dusted for the day and I have time for me. What to do… What to do… Now that is not a real question because the answer is always coffee. The question is not important. Coffee is the only coffee. Team Coffee. I’m strolling down High Street and I spot a café I have not been in before. It looks fresh, clean and black. I like black. There are two small outdoor garden style tables with umbrellas but the chairs are not matching but they look like a match. I step inside and it’s black. I see black. Black tables and black bench. I’m in my zone. I’m in a black mood. Black be my mood. Black is good. A friendly young lady takes my order of a large cappuccino, takes my money and offers to bring me my coffee the change. I decide to sit outside instead of inside as I don’t feel like the chatter noise around me. The sounds of cars wasn’t annoying. The little looking seats are comfy and easy to sit on. The menu isn’t full of food. The breakfast menu looks great and they have a sweets menu but I struggled to find much of a lunch menu. Black. Out comes the coffee in a black mug. More black. Did I mention I like the colour black. The presentation is nice. More the old fashioned look without all the sparkle sparkle art work. The taste is mellow, no bite. I do prefer the bite. I can taste the coffee and it was a yummy coffee flavour and the right amount of sugar. Just not quite up to the standard I prefer but the flavour and after taste was good and the dopamine release. Oh yeah, give me that caffeinated dopamine release any day. Oh God and Goddess of the Almighty Berry, I worship you. Rating: 3 Stars for the coffee and 4 stars for the service and comfort. I will be back to try Café Fred out again. Facebook:
