Ferrovia Deli & Fine Foods

We actually tried a café around the corner first because ferrovia looked so busy. We wandered in, and 3 staff members kept their heads down pretending no one wanted a Saturday morning breakfast. We quickly rushed back to ferrovia wishing we never took those extra steps!
We walked through the doors (hoping no one saw our mistake) and within a second were greeted and ushered to a table. We ordered coffees, mulled the daily specials and read the paper. The coffee was fantastic. Not burnt or bitter and needing no sugar to offset the taste.
The staff were exceptional. They made us feel wanted even though the place was extremely packed and the turnover rate was high. They were up for a friendly chat and worked well as a team. We ordered the eggs benedict and the special of the day ‘smashed avo with crispy pancetta’. Both dishes fantastic with the smashed avo winning out. A generous portion of smooth avocado mixed with feta and topped with pancetta and poached eggs.
For a small local café this place definitely packed a punch. The food may not have been out of this world or gourmet but the staff made up for any misgivings. I’m glad we have more options close to home and I can guarantee we won’t turn our backs on ferrovia next time for the ‘café around the corner’.

Great little place, best coffee you’ll find in the area too. The staff are sincere and friendly. Lunch time is very busy which says a lot about the place. Weekends are even busier! The food quality is always very high and the choice to to start serving breakfasts a while back was a good one. The prices are ok, but you definitely get what you pay for. Worth the effort to have a look.

Fabulous friendly local café. Brilliant breakfast and deli. It’s a little hidden gem! The owners are fantastic and treat all the locals with heart! It’s a busy, busy place on a Sunday but don’t be put off there is always a seat and the kitchen motor the meals out. One of my favs in my hood!

This little hidden gem is definatly worth the stop. I stumbled across here desperate for my morning latte‘ loveliness, as my local was closed for the Silly-​Season. 5 minutes later I left with my latte‘ and a smile.
The staff here are warm, welcoming and efficent. The smiles are given freely from the lovely lady taking orders to the nifty barista behind the machine. Doors are open as you leave with your hands full of goodies and a friendly goodbye given.
The food looked lovely but I didn’t have time to grab any. Will try next time I go back!

Great food, great coffee and excellent deli. Friendly staff. Can’t miss the breakfast!
