Great coffee. The roast beef panini is delicious as is the sausage role. Great food, great service, great coffee, unpretentious. What more could u ask?

Coffee has improved here but the takeaway wait times sometimes to long. Food looks good and healthy options as lot of bicycle riders stop there in the moorings.

I have been visiting Grind in Paddington for several years now. The owners are very friendly and if you are lucky(and have children like I do) you always get a little extra with the coffee in the shape of a Freddie Frog or Smarties! The food is good, the coffee is great and the staff are friendly. The only drawback is early morning when the place is literally flooded by groups of cyclists. Trying to get a table is a nightmare. As a result, if I want to drink in between 7−8am, I will go elsewhere because of this. I don’t have anything against the cyclists, but the café is not big enough to accommodate everyone. Either that or a take-away. But if you are in this area of Oxford Street, it’s the best coffee on Oxford Street from the Paddington Town Hall right up to the top by Centennial Park. The other coffee shops sadly lack compared to Grind.

I had been attending this café for seven of my eight years living Sydney. That was until they reduced the cup sizes, knocked up the prices by 50c, and then made the coffee almost undrinkable. I’ve given them three chances in three months and all three coffees left a bad taste all day. This seemed to be something to do with my choice of soy based coffee. However, dairy friends are also reporting haphazard quality. A monumental shame given it has been such a great social hub and caffeinated escape. Customers looking for a decent quality and good value coffee beware.

One of the best things in Paddington is the Paddington Grind. The perfect place to get a really good cup of robust coffee and some tasty food. Paddington Grind is a little café with a lot of regulars so you know it’s really good. They serve fresh coffee and the yummiest salmon bagel in all of Sydney. The ingredients they use are always fresh and everything is served with a smile. The service is impeccable; you won’t even need to ask for a glass of water because they serve it to you right away. This is a fabulous breakfast venue that can also be a place where you meet friends and catch up while eating a lovely meal. Highly recommended!

Situated on the Paddington stretch of Oxford Street, next door to Dinosaur Designs, this Paddington institution is almost as famous as the jewellery store next door. Grind does a roaring trade, particularly on a Saturday, when there’s always a line of people waiting for takeaway coffees. The café may be tiny but what it lacks in size in makes up for with a simple but tasty café menu. For me you cannot go past the BLAT — Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado and Tomato on toasted Turkish bread. I think this is my favourite sandwich it works for breakfast, brunch, lunch — hey you could even eat it for dinner!
