La Vucciria

Discovered this authentic Sicilian Ristorante just after they opened around Sept last year… what a find! We have eaten there over the last six months at least 10 times and it never disappoints. Fabio, the owner /​chef is great and besides being an amazing cook has showed us true Sicilian hospitality. As he uses only the freshest, seasonal ingredients, there is always something new and, as a result, have been introduced to so many new dishes we would never have had the opportunity to try.
Whenever we visit we usually share a variety of antipasti always including his eggplant involtini… Yummo! Stefano, the gorgeous young man from Sardinia, who assists, always recommends something new on offer on the wine list and he NEVER misses.
The last visit we took our two little granddaughters who are slowily becoming Italian Food snobs .We went early on a Sat night without booking, promised to be gone before the reserved table patrons, arrived, and they’re we’re given the Royal treatment making it a truly wonderful experience!
We just LOVE La Vucciria and so happy to call it our local Italian!

This great little Italian restaurant serves authentic Sicilian food which tastes absolutely fantastic. Their eggplant involtini and gnocchi are so great that you feel like you’ve been transported to Sicily. The menu constantly changes because they only use the freshest produce according to the season. The service is enthusiastic and very Sicilian which really adds to the joy of eating Sicilian food. The food is reasonably priced and the servings are definitely not small. All in all, a great new gem!
