A good little sushi train. I loved the Japanese greeting — all of the staff stop to chorus welcome in Japanese to you. The service was a little pushy, we were asked for an order before our butts hit the seat, but it wasn’t a big deal when we asked for more time. The big win about this place is the pork udon. It was so so so delicious! We will definitely be back of this dish! The teriyaki was pretty lacking, which may have just been in comparison to the amazing udon. Note: All sushi plates are now $ 3

I’m so fussy when it comes to Japanese — it has to be prepared fresh otherwise I won’t go near it. Even one turn on a sushi train is too much for me! All that being said, I was recommended this place by people at my gym who eat here quite frequently. I have to say, this is the freshest Japanese food I have ever eaten. Sushi Edo is always busy, no matter what time of the day or night you go in, food is prepared right in front of you and the staff are so lovely and helpful. I normally get takeaway and I usually have my food within 10 minutes. Highly recommend Sushi Edo if you want a quick bite to eat or want to take your time.

I tried this place a few times and have been increasingly disappointed. The range is not as large as other sushi trains, the rolls are made in a rolling machine and tend to fall apart as soon as you pick them up. Last time, the chicken was so dry it was hardly edible.

This is my new local sushi train. They do a great chicken and avo roll. All plates $ 3.50. They do the kitchy ‘order off an iPad’ thing that I love — it is so novel to click a button and a seconds later a tasty morsel of food or thirst-quenching beverage arrives at your table :-) With a chorus of ‘irashaimase!’ shouted by the charming staff on arrival we always feel very welcome at this busy little train!

I remember a time when this part of Nundah was the main of sandgate road, when there was no nundah village, and you felt at home! Now with the abomination of circa nundah, there is one advantage, more places to eat, Sushi Edo looks like it may be a franchise, but the novelty is so appealing! As it’s only recently opened, expect to wait, and if you have a group I would call ahead, they have a first in best dressed policy for the wait list, so if you have to wait just take a number and take a seat outside. Ordering is amazing!!! There’s an iPad at each bench or table, and you can just tap tap tap away! And the service is really quick! All sushi is $ 3.50! Yeah that’s right, tree fiddy(but no Loch Ness monster) but some of the serves are smaller than your usual sushi train style. If you order off the IPad it’s fresh, and you know exactly what your getting as all ingredients are listed too. Staff are friendly and helpful Worth a look
