Looking for a small lunch on Saturday afternoon, we zoomed into Nundah.
King of Cakes? Sure, I’ll check it out, but I didn’t expect to get lunch.
Well, a beef, bacon and mushroom pie and vanilla slice later… I was a very happy camper.
The idea is German bakery, but I admit I didn’t pay much attention to that, I grabbed some of my favourites, and the pie was excellent, and the slice perfect.
They are indeed Kings.

Not a huge fan of German food. But if you are then you will enjoy this place. I have tried the breakfast which wasn’t really my thing but I love the cakes here. I guess that’s why they are called king of cakes not king of breakfasts? Haha. I love the chocolate muffins and my partner loved the apple and cinnamon muffins. They even have a gluten free cake. So if your looking to sample a unique desert place this could be an option.

Yaay, snaps for being one of the last few cafes open in Nundah after 1.30pm on a Saturday. Some of us just like a little late tea, y’know? I had a chai latte, a cinnamon star, and a mini apple muffin which I’m still thinking about a few hours later… I love apple muffins. I’ll definitely be heading back here to sample all the other pastries on display, lots of choice! Also a nice, un-​pretentious atmosphere with lots of seating inside and outside.

Ich liebe deutchland! So what is not to love about this little German bakery tucked away in Nundah? Good for coffee and flaky pastry treats before or after the gym. It is my preferred option in the area.

I love sweets and I love German food so, for me, this place is great! Lots of traditional loaves and pastries and some with a modern twist on it. Staff are friendly and the shop is very clean. They also stock a range of German drinks and food items. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
They also serve breakfast and lunch.
It looses one star because they serve DiBella coffee which my other half is not a huge fan of
