Just delicious! Went here after reading online that it was a fairly new place, and I havent tried Filipino food before, and the idea of barbecue meat sounded great on a hot day. It was a casual yet cool little spot — not a lot of tables, so try booking if you have a group. The décor was clean and modern, and the open space filled with the scent of the grilling meats. They offer a limited menu of barbecue meats served with rice and little side salads, plus a few nibbly bits. I like that small servings of all the meats are available for the indecisive! The bbq was totally delicious! I didn’t know whether the food would be spicy(I love some heat) but aside from a side chilli the meats were mild — marinades that were sweet and salty and savoury with soy. We had the pork Sisig(my partner will say yes to anything that comes out sizzling) with an egg and I had the chicken skewers. The pork was totally delicious — rich and porky and fatty and decadent. It came out on a sizzling platter chopped into small pieces drizzled in mayonnaise. Mixing in and cooking the raw egg on the sizzling iron plate was a simple joy, and we mixed in a side of rice to eat as well. My chicken was well cooked and the burnished orange marinade sticky and just a little charred. The rice was fluffy and the little side salad and pickle that accompanied was a welcome cleanser. Sides of vinegar and soy were barely needed as our dishes were flavourful. Perhaps a little salad with the pork would be good too as it is very rich. We also had lightly charred corn which was sweet and still juicy with a crunch. Perfect accompaniment to our meats. The staff were really friendly and checked that we were enjoying our food. Next time I would like to try the crispy pork belly, and perhaps the wings too. For $ 13 for 3 lovely skewers, rice and salad garnish it was a delicious filling dinner at a decent price for Norwood. The pork is a must-try, and I would heartily recommend this for a quick bite before or after the movies or shopping. Delicious!

Absolutely amazing! Décor is great and staff are super friendly. I love the pork belly sidig and pork skewers that comes straight from the grill. Halo halo is really nice. Will order over and over again.

Philipino street food was a new and delicious experience. The food comes straight off their charcoal BBQ. I had the pork Sizig which was rich, tangy, sticky and sweet with caramelised onions and a kick of chilli if you’re brave enough to chomp on the Birdseye. Top fare!

Straight off the bat, these guys have done an incredible job with the interior. It’s by far the best looking Filipino eatery in the state. As you walk in, you can see the open kitchen, the rustic tables and a huge wall art of the famous city, Vigan. Then, you are warmly greeted by all staff and finally, the BBQ smells take over, and you have to order something before you leave. Seating is limited to about three tables, that accommodate four patrons each and one large table, accommodating eight. Along the boundary of the kitchen, is a high bar with a few bar stools that also allows people to have a meal on. This is a walk-in eatery with no bookings, so get around the peak times earlier/later to ensure you get to sit down. The menu is enticing, and has great classical dishes which showcase cuisines from the streets of the Philippines. Although, not as many as I’ve tried when I go back to the Philippines, so those that are familiar with Filipino food, you will notice there are only a few options for each mains, small sides and desserts. This may be due to the fact that they are still quite new and are establishing themselves, in which case I hope they’ll include more variety as they progress the business. BUT, in my opinion the starting menu is solid for now. I had the Pork Belly Sisig, which was excellent. It was cooked and served up quite quickly and presented on a sizzling plate. On the side, I had the homemade squid balls, which in my opinion are a lot better than the original squid balls served in the Philippines, this is hugely due to them being homemade, they’re a lot bigger and were a lot more tastier. For dessert, I ordered the Ube Sorbetes Sandwich. This was served on a small wooden chopping board, the Ube ice cream was sandwiched in between two wafer crisps. The Ube ice cream had a great flavour, it wasn’t too sweet or bland, just right. The flavours and the presentation of the meals were excellent and the staff were very hospitable. However, the pricing was a tad above average, which maybe due to its popular busy location. But, this did not hinder the experience at all. So, great food, great staff and great décor. Hopefully more choices on the menu and more seating in the future!
