so i’m going to echo sheamus d’s review as my two experiences with logitronics were essentially the same. they’re totally banked up with jobs to the point that stuff is spilling into the front reception, they’re uncommunicative and well, they take forever. i wouldn’t call them cheap either, to be honest. i assume they’re prioritising jobs for bigger, more important customers than hobbyists with synth/pedal obsession. having said all that, they got the job done both times. it’s just the complete lack of communication and the drag that pushes them down to two stars unfortunately. there are better options in melbourne for quick & affordable(SSM) or high end(simon tregear/soul amp engineering).

I got a Korg CR-4 four track cassette recorder repaired here. It took a month and cost eighty something dollars(for a loose power connector) but in the end they got the job done. When I went in there the front reception was overflowing with piles of broken music equipment awaiting repair. Not a great look. If I were to leave a couple of grands worth of amp there to be repaired I’d want it secured as well. Updated 10÷4÷2013 The above review has been amended due to a phone call from the business owner who called me out on some things he thought were unfair. * He claims he tracked down my receipt and the amount was for 80 something dollars. I originally stated«one hundred something». I remember paying more than this but accept perhaps my memory has failed. The original repair was made more than a year before the review was posted in 2011 and I no longer have the receipt. * He claims the order took one month, rather than my originally stated«a couple of months». Again, I am willing to concede that I might have been off, though I still consider this a long turnaround time for a basic solder job. I honestly don’t know if I was off the mark with my initial numbers or this was some fanciful story told by the business owner to have me to take down the comments, though I will assume honesty from the business owner. In my original review, the time and cost of the job were presented as round-about figures(not exact numbers) to express my feelings that I thought the work was expensive and took a long time. Any numeric inaccuracies would not have effected my original score or opinion There was no word from Logitronics regarding a fix to their practice of leaving thousands of dollars worth of customers’ musical equipment unsecured and unattended just inside the front door. When I asked him about my main concern in the original review, he commented that they«must have been busy that week». I don’t buy that. It’s a cop-out. Build some more secure storage space, your business needs it. Storing your shit out the front makes you look bad. Calling your customers asking to edit your reviews looks bad. Your work is fine. EDIT25÷4÷13: A couple of Days after being called by the business owner and amending this review, four 5-star reviews appeared for Logitronics. FURTHEREDIT1÷5÷13: It appears as though Unilocal has taken most of these bogus reviews down now. The saga continues!
