Service was terrible. Didnt know what a fanta was had to ask like 3 times. Burger size has been reduced and when my party ordered they ran out of burger buns. Girl behind the counter was not apologetic at all about one of my party’s meals being 20mins late. Wont be coming here again!!! Omg and cockroachs!!!

Now I love Nando’s, I used to work at Nando’s not this one in particular, and perhaps that is why I am so particular when it comes the food here. The service at most Nando’s restaurants isn’t brilliant, but this one is really low. I can understand why at a night they don’t have a beaming smile on their faces, a load of drunks dropping food and swearing would wipe any sort of smile of my face too. But during the day? I don’t have an excuse for that one. The food here doesn’t taste like it does at other Nando’s restaurants. For me it just isn’t that great.

This place is awesome unless you’re there anytime during the wee hours on a weekend when it turns into the meeting place of all the drunkos stumbling out of the nearby clubs. I once saw an ex-sports teacher there, pissed of his head, savagely downing some sort of chicken burger or wrap. I was a regular here before I turned vegetarian, but I have visited this place for their hot chips and peri peri dipping sauce. Honestly, I would travel from anywhere just for that dipping sauce. It is licensed which makes this Nando’s very unique(I don’t know of any other ones that offer alcohol). So next time you’re in Northbridge, maybe hit this place up for a drink rather than those smelly clubs(although you do probably still have to order some food, which shouldn’t be problematic)!!!

When I moved to Perth from Ireland I thought I had said goodbye to my beloved Nando’s for the next while at least. But to my surprise and delight I realised that Nando’s is alive and well in Perth, and what’s more, it’s even better than the ones in Ireland! The menu here is different and better, but my favourite thing is still the same — the extra hot piri piri sauce! I’m a huge spicy food fanatic, and I get sooo angry with other restaurants for their misleading spice rating. You know what I’m talking about — their maximum chilli rating is three chillis and they award it to the blandest of dishes just because it has a smidgen of chilli in the recipe! Not so with Nando’s — I am satisfied that Extra Hot in Nando’s does in fact mean extra hot, and I’m into it! One thing that did worry me was that some Nando’s restaurants in the city aren’t licenced — what’s that about? You can’t have a piri-piri chicken burger without a cold cider to wash it down! So the best thing about Nando’s in Northbridge is that it is licenced, and it stays open later than other stores. It also has a great big open front, making it a perfect place to get some shaded fresh air while enjoying your meal. While the quarter and half chickens aren’t without their merit I always go for the chicken breast burger or the chicken wrap because I’m not a massive fan of eating the skin off the chicken unless it’s on wings, and the skin is where the flavour is on the quarter, half and full chickens, whereas its marinated right onto the meat in the wraps and burgers. And never, ever forget to order a portion of piri-piri chips on the side — it’s the law!
