This has got to be one of the busier Australia Post offices I have come across in a while. The line wasn’t out the door and around the corner the way it was at Whitford City Westfield when I was there a week or so ago, but that’s because the staff behind the counter of this one were working at a speed that struck me as almost unnatural. Customer service, we should remember, isn’t always about receiving smiles from across the counter. It’s also about things getting done. This lot are particularly efficient. The store has all everything a modern post office does. Note that I say«does», not«should». I personally don’t believe that post offices«should» stock André Rieu DVDs, but most of the invariably do. Much more useful is the fact that almost every post office is equipped with passport photo set-ups and digital processing stations, as indeed this one is. In other words, it’s a one-stop shop for violinists looking to travel abroad.
