The NB Pavillion is in an amazing location – it is right on the beach providing the guests with a lovely view while they dine. The staff are extremely friendly and very attentive to their customers. It is a traditional Italian restaurant with most of the staff originating from Italy. The owners, Lorraine and Max have been in the business for years. They have wonderful pizza’s and are known for their 1 meter trays of pizza, so it is a great place to accommodate big parties. They have other delicious dishes as well, calamari and quinoa salad’s are favorites of mine. This is a must visit if you are in the Gong.

We were going to brunch with some really old friends we haven’t seen in years. Keen for a good catch up. When we all finally arrived we felt rushed when ordering. The waitress pressured us to ordering before we all could look at the menu properly. The menu was average and expensive. If you wanted to add bacon, avocado or salmon it was ridiculously expensive. When you spend almost $ 15 on eggs and toast(no add ons except some sauce) I would expect it to be at least a decent size. No, tiny pieces of toast. The coffee too was average in tastes and presentation. Yes we were all pretty disappointed with our food but we were there to catch up. When everyone lives overseas and in different parts of the country you do spend a lot of time talking. The waitress came over so many times being rude in her not so subtle hints to leave. She really pissed me off for the last time when she took my water away when it was half full and I clearly, wasn’t finished. I might of been more accommodating in leaving earlier if the food and service was okay. But there were so many other tables at this point anyway. Can’t say I will ever go here again or recommend to anyone. The only good thing was the view of the beach obviously.

Lovely spot. The décor is excellent. However the coffees are ordinary. I ordered a ristretto, and my companions ordered a chai latte, and two milky coffees. None of these were particularly good or worth the 3.50+ that we were charged. Didn’t try the food.
