The quintessential Perth food experience — a dip in the salty ocean before breakfast overlooking the beach! The perfect place to bring visitors to show off our beautiful state or locals who need another reason to fall in love with WA. Bib & Tucker overlooks the Indian Ocean at Leighton Beach, has a friendly vibe and serves delicious seasonal local food. I enjoyed the Middle Eastern Baked Eggs with gluten free flatbread(yay!) and a yummy smoked almond hummus. The coffee always hits the spot and the menu offers lots of allergy friendly options and the staff are happy to advise. My only qualm is that they don’t offer almond milk as a milk alternative — which would be appreciated since they make most things in house like rooftop honey, jams, bread and pickled vegetables. Definitely a favourite WA foodie destination!

Being on my healthy band wagon I settled on the egg white omelette with a side of bacon with the boost cold pressed juice! Amazing! Sooo much that I struggled to finish it all! Juice was amazing — and literally just got that spot where the food missed! Only downside was the service — took a bit to get served and then my juice was forgotten. Get in early for the best spot!

Good view, good food. We had to wait for a significant amount of time though. In rush hours we waited approximately 45 min for our two(good) pizza’s.

Bib & Tucker already wins points for location(right on-the-beach-front gorgeousness) but with great food and wine, it’s a destination worth the drive from Perth city on any day of the week. We’ve been many times for breakfast and occasionally for dinner(usually with a sundowner drink at Creatures Next Door beforehand) and this establishment never disappoints. The chefs at Bib & Tucker manage to maintain a great balance between healthy and indulgent. They champion ingredients such as quinoa, chia and almond milk whilst also offering wood fired breakfast pizza and meaty tostadas that would satisfy the most staunch of carnivores. Their housemade flatbreads are deliciously soft, chewy and crisp — everything you want when dipping into baked egg goodness or creamy hummus. It’s my kind of food. In regards to dinner time, they book in two ‘seatings’(as many restaurants seem to do these days) so you need to arrive, order, eat and leave within a two hour maximum time frame. Whilst reasonable(in my opinion), keep in mind that your dinner companions will need to be prompt and you’re probably not going to be able to have a lazy night of cocktails at your beachfront table. All in all, a positive dining experience. Whether or not you see Eamon Sullivan ;)

We waited a long time to be seated and the service was average. Our waiter was having a bad day I think. Experience was not welcome and warm. The food was nice, but no ambiance. Very noisy. I won’t be going back

Incredibly attentive staff! The coconut black bean porridge is beautiful– not too sweet so perfect for breakfast. They are often very busy so mack sure you book at least 24hours prior! The venue is amazing!!! Everything is clean and tidy including the toilets. I would definitely recommend coming here– dress code is casual beach or you can dress it up

What a top spot to start the day. Even the 20 min wait couldn’t steal the show from the stunning view, glorious coffee, delicious baked eggs-some of the best in town(I’ll come back to this) and friendly services. Other then the table water being chilled and my eggs a lil more runny-I’m not sure how bib & tuckers breakfast could get any better… Flat bread-yes!!! And plenty of it to spoon the delicious tomato goodness into my face! Hummus– hooray!!! The ultimate baked egg sidekick. You were great. Cue in rich tomato and egg with some herby, nutty love and your in baked egg heaven!

«Good food with a great view» 5 I’d wanted to visit here for a while but had heard about the queues and put it off. Finally visit on a long weekend for lunch and get a table within 5 minutes! This probably one of the most scenic restaurants in Perth and the kind of place you take your out of town friends and family. The food showcases the best of WA produce and has a great mix of bites and more substantial dishes. The chorizo, tacos and pizza we had were delicious and only the octopus was sub-par(cold, rubbery and bitter). Still the experience was overall positive and we’ll definitely be back. + Location, location, location — Quiet but convenient location and stunning views and + Extensive menu — Can pop in for a quick bite or a feast. Food generally good — A little $$$ Overall: Good food and great views. Top choice if you want to taste the best of WA and admire the pristine beaches.

Bib & Tucker never fails to disappoint, from the gorgeous beachfront location to the friendly staff and fresh, local produce. We ordered the Naughty bears cocktail which was the perfect combination of sweet & sour and satisfied our inner child, finished with a row of gummy Bears. For mains we ordered the large tostada with chicken. The large crispy tostada was filled with quinoa, corn, sprouts, avocado & pomegranate seeds. It could have done with more pomegranate for extra flavour. All in all would recommend for a casual spot of lunch after a morning at the beach!

Went to bib on the weekend for Xmas dinner with a few friends. We were given the option of either having the set menu or ala carte. We decided on the latter as we wanted a greater variety of dishes to pick from and could sample each other’s :) I had the charcoal roasts lamb shoulder which was amazing. Never had sheeps milk yogurt before and it was actually pretty tasty. Dressed the eggplant salad well. The lamb was a bit on the dry side but the salad complimented it well. Crispy puff grains that was sprinkled all over the dish gave the dish a nice texture. The whole restaurant was bustling by 7pm but staff was still attentive and attend to our needs in a timely manner which was great. Dishes came all at once which is good to see. Considering there were 15 of us! Overall bib and tucker is definitely a great place to go to when you have a group of peeps that don’t mind forking out a few extra coins for a great service and dining experience.

I love Bib & Tucker. The location is fantastic so ask for a table by the window so you can take in the view. 3 of us shared the lamb shoulder and it was perfectly fall-off-the-bone cooked. We paired it with duck fat potatoes and greens. More restaurants should have duck fat potatoes as they are to die for. The other member of our group had the gnocchi and judging by the lack of any food left on her plate, it was a success! Dessert was a showstopper — Banoffe Bombe Alaska. It is worth going just for this! The Italian meringue is perfect and it is of a size that is worth sharing(unless you are feeling greedy!). Good value too when you share a dish like we did.

The restaurant was quite busy at around 10am on a Saturday morning and we managed to luck in and arrive minutes before a large group of people arrived. When we were seen by the staff we were lead to a table outside on the side verandah. The outside tables were the perfect spot to enjoy the cool summer morning weather. After looking over the menu I could not go past their Breakfast Pizza while Miss S was eyeing off the Lemon and Ricotta pancakes. Miss S ordered a coffee to go with her pancakes while I ordered one of their freshly squeezed juices and a pot of tea(Russian Caravan). I enjoyed my breakfast pizza however it was too much just for me but would be perfect to share between two. The tea was nice however it took me a while to flag down a staff member so I could get some milk for it. The juice coming in a sealed cup was a novel concept and made for the perfect takeaway as we returned to walk along the beach a little longer before going for a swim. Miss S enjoyed her coffee and the pancakes did not last very long as they too were enjoyed. Miss S and I did have some troubles getting the attention of the wait staff and I think this was due to us being seated at a table in the middle of the side verandah hidden from their view during a busy breakfast service. We also had a drinks order not arrive and had to wait some time at the counter to pay the bill. While it was disappointing to see these reviews being confirmed I did enjoy the food however and will be back again to give the service another try. Returning a second time the service was still slow but the food and view was nice and being in no rush that time meant it did not bother us greatly.

The place was quite packed for lunch when I went there the first time so we had to wait for at least 30 minutes to get our table. It’s recommended to book in advance for the weekends. I went for their Salt Cod Fritters and bucket of chips for starters. The fritters come in 6, if you like fish, go get this for yourself. They’re nicely fried and really soft in your mouth — you just want to bite more and more. The chips were beer battered, that was by far the best chips I’ve ever had in Perth. When summer arrives, this place will have to be prepared for I will be getting these two take away and enjoy them by the beach. We had The Hybrid pizza to share. Not quite your standard pizza as they fold the base half way for a pocket filled with shredded beef. The other half was flat and had veggies on top with chutney base. Would probably try a different one next time to get my tummy happier. The drink list is quite extensive. Take your time with this. I haven’t tried their coffee yet but next time I go there for lunch I’ll definitely give that a go. The view is fantastic — unless it’s raining obviously. I bet a lot of people hope for the waiter to take them to the outdoor area.

At last I have managed to do the beach trek and do the Sunday brunch thing at the Bib & Tucker which I have to say is pretty easy to get to, and better still, park at. The menu is impressive and being that i was placed right by the service section of the restaurant, I could see how the portions were ample and bordering on being spot-on-to-may-be-too-much in size. I drooled over the prospect of the«breakfast pizza» and the«pulled beef» but two weeks into a harsh get-fit gym routine… I felt my wife’s eyes piercing through my skull… and I opted for the safer eggs benedict. But This is always my barometric gauge and litmus test for any restaurant serving brunch and I was definitely not disappointed. I have to say, that I wish I had worn sunglasses as the glare was pretty intense from off the ocean views, but hey ho, that is nothing to complain about. It made everyone look beautiful! And my waitress was accommodating, informed and above all else confident and friendly. So well done Bib & Tucker. It does make a difference. It irks me no end when a staff member has zero clues about what their products taste like. Can’t wait to loose a few more kilos and have my dalliance with the pulled beef! I will be back.

We had lunch here yesterday outside, gorgeous view of the water. A little breezy and chilly day but it was nice to sit outside. Service was pretty good, we were indecisive for a while and finally decided on something light. My hot Aussie man ordered the 12 hour warm lamb salad and I ordered the fish tacos appetizer. His salad was a good sized portion and per the menu had Israeli couscous, saffron, zucchini, mint, dukkah and labne. I didn’t taste the salad but he enjoyed it very much and ate it all, so it must have been good :) There were two fish tacos and they had some sort of white fish that was fried, with a really tasty guacamole inside. I also had a cabernet merlot that was $ 7.50 and Tim had a NY beer which was $ 10, drinks a tad pricey. Maybe I’m just spoiled by Vegas cheap drinks haha. Overall a good experience, beautiful view, tasty food, nice décor.

I have to say I have avoided Bib & Tucker because it is so popular. I can’t help but be that guy who wants to go somewhere less well known. Plus, I have found many places don’t live up to the hype. Well I have to say it was all worth it, a big 5 stars. I am annoyed I waited now, but that is in the past. I can see why everyone raves about it — the location, the atmosphere, the menu, the staff. Really well done and I will be back.

I have a new fave! Went today for lunch and it was pumping! We hadn’t booked so there was going to be about a 40 min wait for a table, instead we took up the option to be seated at the bar. Gorgeous views, semi-industrial fit out with good sound absorption and a hessian ceiling to assist with noise I imagine. Service was friendly and even though they were under the pump today they were still attentive. The food was delicious! We tried two of the large plates and a salad which equates to lots of food for two people. The large tostada with quinoa and corn had a great balance of flavours. The beetroot salad with goat curd was fresh and flavoursome. I felt that all of the ingredients were fresh and high quality. I can’t wait to come back and try dessert too! A great vibe, generous serves, amazing drinks menu(alcohol and not) and ocean front views. Parking was easy too with a short walk.

The name comes from a tale of two bushrangers 1978 called Bib and Tucker and seeks to embody their ‘elegant rascality’. With the décor laid back but impressive, there’s an open view of not just the water, but also into the kitchen which is definitely something I like to perve on. The food is fresh, with most of the produce locally sourced — all contributing to their modern Australian menu style. We arrived at 12pm for lunch, only waiting about five minutes before we’re attended to, and another couple minutes before being shown to a table. I’m really surprised since normally the wait list is quite lengthy(I’ve tried to eat here a couple times but given up because I was too hungry to wait) since it’s such a popular spot. It seems fate is on our side and I’m definitely not complaining — happy to sink into the strangely low chairs as we take in our surroundings. It’s so bright and airy! The orange juice is fantastic — teetering on that tightrope of sour and sweet, while screaming with orange goodness. It just sings in my mouth and while initially I think it’s a little on the pricier side of juices, the size of the drink is more than reasonable so I’m definitely happy. The menu at lunchtime at Bib & Tucker is extensive, and it seriously takes us about 15 minutes or so to choose. There’s definitely a case to share, with some incredible items like the duck tacos and charcoal roasted cuttlefish jumping out at me. But we all decide to order separately so I make a mental note to bring my boy back for lunch when he’s finally off weekends next year. My dining companions ordered: — the 12 hour warm lamb salad with Israeli couscous, saffron, zucchini, mint, dukkah and labne($ 29.00) — soft shell crab sliders($ 9.00 each) — bruschetta with goats cheese, wilted greens, pea shoots, crispy pancetta and a 62 degree egg($ 24.00) — ocean trout tartare($ 23.00) My lunch choice of the large tostada with quinoa, charred corn, avocado, pomegranate, orange tahini sauce and fresh herbs($ 22.00) is just plain gorgeous. The salad is everything I hoped it would be, and immediately I start memorising the flavours so I can try and roughly recreate it at home when the whim strikes me. The charred corn is sweet and smoky, offering little bursts of juice as I bite down. The pomegranates are also sweet, but slightly sour too which is perfect for balance in the salad against the creamy avocado. I enjoy the dish so much, and even the chicken is tasty — perfectly cooked with not even a hint of dryness even though it’s breast meat. I also order a serve of the hand cut chips with rosemary salt and aioli($ 9.00) for us all to share. They definitely hit the spot and while there’s not many of my usually desired crunchy chips, the softness of the potato works well with the creamy aioli. I like that they’ve kept the skin on them, there’s so much flavour in that part of the potato!

This restaurant is everything Perth needs, perfect meal, perfect scenery and perfect staff. We had a whole lamb roast with a tomato salad. I definitely recommend everyone to go this restaurant and excited to go again and again. Breakfast next time, Perth needs more of this place!

Really nice chilled atmosphere. Extremely popular but unfortunately you can only book for tables of 4 or more. Had to be put on a waiting list for 20mins so we went for a quick walk. Had pizza to share and some wine. Staff young but very attentive. Will be back again
