History

Established in 2014.

Poet’s Corner in leafy Norman Park is the peaceful locale for new café, Dovetail on Overend.

Operated by local couple Adam and Rejoice Thomson, the pair’s aim for the site is to be an oasis of serenity for locals and visitors, where they can relax and enjoy sumptuous home-​made treats and sip amazing specialty coffees, teas and hot chocolates.

Adam is well known for his Beanhunter café reviews and is passionate about helping to raise the profile of Brisbane’s café scene.

Rejoice has a cooking background and is excited about their offering of seasonal, original recipes with a healthy but tasty focus. Most food will be prepared on site, with a few select items sourced from small local artisans with the same focus on quality. A good proportion of the menu will be gluten-​free and organic, with vegetarian options.

Every single item in the café has been carefully chosen to offer an enhanced experience. It’s complemented by friendly and personal service from Adam, Rejoice and their team.
