Centro Colonnades

Be sure to drop into the good court and check out «Kitchen Express». Delicious counter meal style chicken parmigianas at food court prices. Will be dropping in again on a Thursday night to have one of these for dinner!

Pretty good little shopping centre.

Colonnades is easy to get to and parking is a breeze really. A nice variety of shops with a Big W and Myers.
The food court is okay, Bing boy would have to be a stand out here, fresh and delicious, cannot compare to the other fast food fare on offer, my opinion only of course, however my teenage daughter approved.
There are banks, a post office, train nearby and buses. All round an excellent place to shop in the south.
Only drawback is some of the ferals about, mostly harmless though.

Man this place has improved in leaps and bounds since I was last here — we’re talking a few years! All your standard shopping centre needs, light and airy with lots of natural light, and clean.
It doesn’t beat my favourite in Adelaide (Marion) in my opinion but I have no complaints!

Colonnades is a great shopping complex and it has the diversity that is only beaten by Marion Shopping Center. The freebies rewards program, the great layout and the cleanliness and planning of store locations are what makes this particular shopping center stand out, along with a very good helping of brand name stores and a decent sized food court (one which actually has a decent amount of seating). You will find a lot at Colonnades, books, furniture, jewellery, technology, food, entertainment, newsagents and so much more. It is definitely worth a look around and it is constantly changing so you never know what you shall see.

It’s true, Colonnades has hugely improved over the last few years, but it’s the type of place I still can’t get excited about.
One of the main upgrades was it’s size, which of course meant a lot more shops. We’ve witnesses the yo-​yoing of Myer to Harris Scarves, and back to Myer. And while the store barely has a staff member to be seen, at least down south can still claim it has a real department store (even if it is just one level).
I just find that I never want to spend any time here. While I can spend a few hours wandering around Rundle Mall browsing through shops, I just can’t do it here. Sometimes I find some good clothes in Myer, but it’s usually a quick process.
Likewise the food court never really interests me. There’s been a Burp Burrito Bar «coming soon» for what feels like about a year.
It’s not the worst, and it’ll occupy your time better than somewhere like Castle Plaza, but I feel like the teenagers will probably enjoy it a lot more than I do.
The centre itself is far better now. It’s cleaner, shinier, and like Michelle said, they do have some good school holiday activities.

Not being a local, I was driving around just killing time last year when I stumbled upon this shopping centre. I wasn’t expecting anything so large, but it’s really quite a decent sized complex.
You’ll find pretty much everything you could ever really need here, and it doesn’t usually take me too long to find a car park.
It’s generally well kept and neat, and there’s plenty to keep you busy for a few hours.

My local major shopping centre! Used to be really feral but has had a mssive facelift over the past few years and is really good now. Heaps more department and speciality stores and really easy to get a park anywhere around the centre. Most of the big stores have pick up area’s if you make larger purchases.
Has all the stores you may need as well as some really good gift shops where you can get all sorts of things. Great to browse at when you have to get a gift but have no idea what to buy. Also has a not too bad food court in the centre with a bit of every culture represented.
In the holidays they do some really good activities for the kids in the hall or foyer area’s of the centre. One school holidays they even had a mini ice skating rink set up and you could take your kids in for a free lesson. So check out their website before you go if you want to go when something special is on.
