Friendly, happy place with a great atmosphere — we sat in the window watching the world go by and enjoying great zucchini flowers, fish and papardelle with mushrooms. Plus some excellent wine. Efficient and attentive service — this lower-end of King St Newtown is the most interesting place in Sydney right now…

This new modern kiwi restaurant seems to be a hot commodity in Newtown. They were bustling when we walked by around 7:30pm on a Saturday. We were lucky to nab the last 2 seats on a communal table. After that while we eat there were loads of people lining up. So lesson for you, make a booking. We ordered crispy duck confit, kipflers with aioli, cuttlefish and chicken liver pâté. Our page never arrived but it was good because the other 3 dishes made us really full. The cuttlefish was so amazingly tender and flavourful. The duck fell apart at the touch of your fork and the beans underneath was so full of flavour. The kipflers were baked with just the perfect amount of spice mix. It was delicious.
