I confess. We went back about three times in a week because we loved it so much. From the phở noodle soup garnished with fresh herbs to the colourful crisp Vietnamese pancake, the earthy rice hot pot and rich spicy rendang«beef» curry and delectable three bean che(crushed ice, red bean, lychee jelly and coconut milk), everything on the menu is absolutely mind blowing. The vermicelli salad with tofu and spring rolls or with pork skewers was a particular hit, smothered in sweet sour salty nuoc cham. I dined with extra-hard-to-please and staunch meat-eaters one of whom stopped, chopsticks half way to his mouth, and said(too loudly) «This is bl***dy delicious for vegan food!» They say there’s no pleasing everyone but Golden Lotus does. With its fantastic menu, quality ingredients, friendly staff, generous helpings, warm heart, creative cooking & budget friendly offerings, you can’t go wrong.
