Amazing flavoured food, excellent service and tasty coffee… Need I say more? Well I guess I should. The line up to get in can be long during busy periods such as Sunday morning. It is however, worth the wait. Had the stewed rhubarb and ginger with fresh berries and Greek yoghurt and it was brilliant. Tart with some swetness to cut through, along with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Bondi chai tea was super tasty. First cup to come out wasn’t clean the the server noticed this as she placed it and immediately replaced it. Thoroughly enjoyable meal.

All day breakfast. Good staff. Quiet suburban location with ample parking. Nice layout. Interesting menu. I went for the Parisian breakfast: egg, toast, preserve, berries, yogurt, OJ and coffee for a winning $ 16.50. Dog friendly and high chairs aplenty. Order at the counter.

They were kind enough to brew me an iced tea(unsweetened iced tea doesn’t seem to exist outside the US). I also got the breakfast burrito, didn’t expect much honestly because they tend not to be great where there is little Mexican influence. I was extremities surprised at how great it was. The eggs inside were cooked perfectly and the cheese melted well and the avocado/guacamole was great. Definitely a place to try.

This has to be without doubt my number one coffee shop in Brisbane! I have been known to bare an hour of traffic just to get here for breakfast. I strongly recommend the smashed avo on toast(with fetta & poached eggs take it to the next level) or the flaky pastry tart with the creamiest scrambled eggs I’ve ever experienced. They run Merlo coffee and to be honest you would think its a boutique roast as its consistently good. The service is always impeccable with staff good enough to even remember your name. They are open early in the morning and do lunch until 3pm!

Love this place. On a quiet, random street in New Farm. It can get pretty busy on the weekend so you either need to go pretty early(before 8am) or be prepared to wait! The fact that it’s busy shows how awesome it is though! Service is always great. The staff are always happy and attentive. The food is simple but always tastes absolutely amazing every single time. I love the consistency with their service and food. My favourite is the porridge — so yummy!

This is my local, just a minute walk out my front door. Ross and Michael are a fabulous combination of chef and front counter. Food is divine and very reasonably priced. Pastry and cakes are sublime and made on site. Coffee is good, consistent and very good value. Service is relaxed, fast and friendly. .amazing considering how busy they get and how tiny this place is. Overall a delightful local café, but be warned it gets busy!!!

Double Shot Espresso is extremely popular, so expect a bit of a wait if you’re not an early riser. Double Shot Espresso does not have EFTPOS or credit card facilities. It is rare to find a business that deals exclusively in cash these days. Our food was beautiful. The SO’s eyes caught the breakfast boards others had ordered, so his stomach followed. The Breakfast Board is a board of heirloom tomatoes with sliced ham, poached eggs, avocado, toast and feta. This is a big breakfast with a difference and best shared for the tiny eaters. I was drawn to the croque madam and while it looked nothing like any croque madam I have ever tasted in France. The Croque Madame is a French style toasted ham and cheese sandwich with a difference. It comes with a poached egg and homemade onion marmalade. It was crunchy on the outside, yet wonderfully warm and oozy on the inside with melted cheese. The ham slices were generous and I was delighted to find they had used wholegrain mustard as a spread. Oh, and yes, I did require the steak knife provided to saw my way through the crust.

A friend recommended this café to me so I thought I would try it out this morning. It is a popular place so there was a bit of a wait for a table but it was worth it. I had poached eggs, avocado on sourdough with some fresh tomato, rocket, lemon and balsamic and a fresh juice and it was really good. My partner had bubble and squeak with bacon and poached eggs and he enjoyed it although he said he thought the dish was a little on the heavy side for breakfast. I don’t drink coffee but he said it was fine, not amazing, but fine. I would go back again for sure. It had a nice friendly vibe.
