Lovely quiet location and almost on the beach. You are without a beach view but the affordable food prices are the perk of that fact. The porridge I had was filling and delicious. The pancakes my friend had, not so much. Mini pancakes would be a more accurate description. Tea was nice and the mug of coffee was a good size and received a thumbs up. I would happily return here again.

The surfing lizard is a great lunch break — as I work in the area and there is limited options, this is my number one on the go to list. I usually get a burger and chips — which is always fresh and tasty — also throw in a Watermelon juice to wash it down.

Tucked away in a quiet little pocket of bush, and adjacent to the relatively new Coogee Beach SLSC, sits this surprisingly busy little café. Lots of outdoor seating, but even as a solo diner I had trouble finding a seat on a Sunday morning and so perched up on a windowsill turned breakfast bar. I asked for the bacon hock benedict, but they ran out of bacon hock. Unlike many other places, the lady at the counter took some initiative and suggested they could serve the dish with bacon rashers instead. Nice one! Coffee was wonderful and came in a variety of sizes — the«supermug» being the biggest. It’s the first coffee I’ve had which was on sufficient quantity to last the whole meal. Instead of table numbers, the crew use stuffed toys(a cute touch). Regardless of the weather, bring a jumper. The café and SLSC are in an elevated position and cop the wind whichever direction it blows. A limited number of blankets are provided. FYI, there are no ocean views from the café(it’s around the back of the SLSC) but definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. Great playground nearby for kids and nice swimming beach a few steps away.

Great somewhat hidden little place for breakfast and brunch! Good view, but a little small indoor place — not enough to cater for more than a few groups of diners during rain. Having said that, the outdoor area’s large so do consider it during a good day! They have stuffed toys as table numbers! And their coffee’s not bad too! Downside’s an extra egg costs $ 3!
