Back when I lived 5 minutes walk away, this was my café of choice for celebratory breakfast, or when friends popped around and my cupboard was bare. It’s changed hands since then, the lovely Russian man who owned/ran/made the coffee no longer works there and the change is noticable. Gone is the amazing coffee. Gone, too, are the enormous platefuls of very well made food, exchanged for smaller serves of lesser quality items. Same service(pretty standard), and now they’re serving alcohol. It’s stopped being my go to, and has instead become my easy to go. It’s not bad, just not worth a detour.
