My friends and I survived off this place while studying abroad for 4 months. Three piece with chips and gravy is amazing. Thought about buying the pinewood chicken bar hats the employees wear to rep this place ba ck in America

You want chicken? This is your place. Mum found this shop a few years ago. Since then, whenever she’s planning a family lunch, I’m invariably tasked with going to Pinewood Chicken Bar. One of the standard tests for shops that produce nice food is to see how busy it is. This place is really busy around meal times. It’s really, really good. The chickens are usually cut into quarters, but being the pain in the bum that I am, I almost always ask for mine to be cut into eight pieces. They take my requests in their stride. They’re really quite friendly and efficient, chatting with customers while they work. The chips are pretty good too. This place started something of a chicken salt addiction at my place. I wholeheartedly recommend this place without reservation. Try it.

Okay I will be the first to say it. Best. Chicken. Ever. I don’t know how they do it, but every time, the chicken is perfectly roasted, juicy and so so full of flavour. My mouth is watering just writing this. At every family occasion where there is a chicken involved(and yes there are a few), the question is inevitably asked; «Is that a Pinewood Chicken?» The answer is always yes. I have tried other chickens, and while some are more than adequate, nothing quite matches up to the Pinewood roast chicken. They also do salads which are made fresh daily, and a range of other dishes. The showstopper though, is definitely the chicken. I’d give this place 6 stars if it were possible.
