Ware is my go to place to find cute little knick-knacks and quirky presents suitable for anyone. I love the fun nature of the items in store, I feel like a little kid in a candy shop with an element of a magpie attracted to shiny, colourful things. They offer a range of brightly coloured, funky, retro chic, fun trinkets and toys, cute stationary, clothes, baking supplies, jewellery and accessories. My favourite area, once you can pull me away from the jewellery is the weird and wonderful and often bizarre items in the curiosity cabinets. The staff are also very fun-loving and helpful in offering suggestions. They let you play with the items and browse without any interruptions indulging in your retail desires. They even gift-wrap which is an added bonus when you are in rush. Ware fulfils my creative, artsy, childish side and leaves me with only a smallish dent in my pocket.

When I came across Ware I initially thought it was another one of those small shops which sells ordinary cards, stationary and other little knick knacks and I was right and wrong at the same time. Having a closer look I saw that they had clothes and very cool necklaces in their window display and thought I’d better check it out just to make sure I wasn’t going to miss out on anything. Oh I’m so glad I decided to walk in, yes Ware does have cards but they’re cards designed by artists and rather than mass produced, they also have jewellery and clothes by independent designer but my favourite part was their selection of clever and bizarrely great objects perfect for someone who has everything. They also stock children’s toys, leather bags and loads of other really interesting stuff. Ware is definitely worth a visit if you want to buy someone a unique and quirky gift!
