We may have been caught out on this one as we were booking at the last minute– but my overall impression would be this would be a great house for a group of 3 couples rather than a romantic weekend away for a couple! Irene our host was lovely and the house was beautiful. The only downside was that it was directly opposite a shopping centre (the view out the front is of a car park) and it seemed that a rethink on the ‘little touches’ would be nice (eg: the complimentary wine is a cheap and nasty $ 2 bottle– would be a nice touch to offer something from the region at least). The garden was absolutely beautiful in a typical cottage garden feel. The cottage is also in walking distance from a couple of local restaurants which is handy!
All in all we had a nice time– just a shame about the carpark and additional touches!
