Nicholas Fish Market does not smell of fish and therein lies the reason that I keep returning. Hauled from the markets daily and filleted on site the produce is wonderfully fresh and displayed attractively in scrupulously clean cabinets. There’s no need to smell fish because it’s just so very fresh.
The team there are friendly and always happy to recommend a way to get the best flavour from your purchase.
I asked them for Jewfish recently and whilst it’s not an fish they offer regularly they said they’d keep an eye out for it at the markets and call me if they got some in stock. Good service guys.
My only gripe is that the salmon portions are huge and asking for 2 can leave you with little change from $ 30. Keep an eye on the porition sizes and you won’t be disappointed with the quality of this fish.
