This shop is about as good as it gets; I’m a convert even from the grower’s markets on the weekends for their fresh & reasonably priced produce. The peaches last summer were outstanding, and the navel oranges & gala apples right now can’t be beat. The produce is always fresh, and they have seconds & bulk packages in some areas if you’re looking for discounted items. While I don’t make much use of the deli out the back, if it’s your kind of thing, it’s pretty good quality as well, and some must-have obscure international items that are hard to find elsewhere(thai, mexican, etc). Highly recommended! I haven’t yet found any fruit & veg shop or market that can compare.

Always great produce and love the secret deli tucked away at the back.(Okay maybe it’s not such a secret). But they have a great range of cheeses, small goods and anti-pasto. Balsamic semi-dried tomatoes are DELICIOUS! Oh and pick up some truffle brie while you’re there as well.

Great avocadoes — I can always rely on it at Feast on Fruit. Sometimes a touch higher in price than others, it’s not significant because the fruit, veg and continental smallgoods are really good quality — no seconds here. I don’t buy everything at this place, for example, I buy much cheaper juicing apples at one of my locals, but Feast on Fruit has consistently lovely stonefruit in summer and always good tomatoes and fresh herbs. Being situated right near the door of Morningside Woolies probably means the prices have to stay competitive or better, but that proximity to the yawning mouth of the multinational doesn’t stop the queues at Feast on Fruit.
