Introduced a friend of mine to Dim Sum at this restaurant recently and he was pleasantly surprised. Food is always fresh and the service is spot on, this venue is always a go to if I don’t want the hassle and bustle of Northbridge.

Everyone talks about another Chinese restaurant in close proximity. But, I have to tell you… the food, ambience, cleanliness… this place is better! Would most definitely go back. We went there last Sunday for Dim Sum and it was a Big Yum!!! We had to wait outside as you do… but not as long as across the road. If you are new to this king of waiting to be seated experience and there are several people outside then go in and get a ticket and return outside to wait. When they have a table ready with your requirements(Eg: for two people) and you are next cab off the rank they will come and call your number.) We waited less than 5 mins. Parking was easy too… Check this place out. You will be nicely surprised…

Came here for lunch after being at the bank next door. The place smelled wonderful. But when we walked past it was hard to tell what was behind the tinted windows. The lady at the bank said it was popular and busy so we decided to give it a go. However this is the worst food we have ever had. I really dislike giving bad reviews but I was really disappointed at how bad it was. We ordered 5 dishes. The spicy beef tendons, steamed chicken and chinese mushroom rice, deep fried squid tentacles, vegetarian spring rolls and recommended by the waitress pork ribs which I think was the spare ribs with bean sauce cause on the menu I didn’t see pork ribs cause there wasn’t any bones. Staff was lovely and very friendly. Each dish came out one at a time. The spring rolls were yum and I was looking forward to the rest. The squid tentacles were good but a bit chewy. What came next was horrible. The beef tendons were so slimy and so fatty i couldn’t eat it. I was confused as to rather this was a delicacy that not everyone would like. The pork dish was again very fatty and lacked flavour and there was more fat than meat. The chicken mushroom rice wasn’t that great either. The chicken was fill with bones so tiny that you didn’t realise it till you ate it, you were continually spitting out tiny bones. The mushroom was so chewy that I couldn’t eat it and I had to spit it out. So over all didn’t eat much. I have never been to a restaurant where every dish was so bad. Im highly disappointed. :(

Yum cha without having to drag our butts out to Northbridge is pretty awesome, especially because this is pretty damn good yum cha. Tasty, fresh and plentiful selection of all the classics, brought out in fairly prompt succession. Excellent!

I love dimsim and can find trekking to Northbridge on a Sunday overwhelming. I’m not good at city parking and Sunday morning dimsim can be quite busy. My friends suggested this place and I was pretty happy that we had a range of typical dimsim treats — bbq pork buns, chicken feet, shanghai dumplings. We were full and happy with what we had. I do think that Emma’s dimsim in Northbridge has better shanghai dumplings and pork buns!
