I guess you’d call this place fast food though, it’s not fast food prices… just when I thought it was a little on the expensive side, I bought some dinner and realized the serving sizes are enormous. So I guess the prices are verified… Ok alternative to your regular Mexican fast food joints around town. Their quesadillas were a massive serving size and pretty good taste wise. And their chicken fajita was ok but I found the chicken to be a little on the dry side. Kinda irking me is that I think they spelled«Mochacho» wrong … Muchacho maybe?

Pretty good meal for the price. Beef burger was reminiscent of a homemade burger. Mild beef burrito wasn’t at all spicy but had a lovely flavour. Chips were delicious but not as crispy as I normally like. Order was delivered on time and hot. Came with free brownie desserts

Yesterday I decided to try Mochachos. I ordered the $ 25.95 Family Feast Meal that comes with a full chicken, a large serve of chips and four buns. I made the mistake of asking for the Dynamite flavoured chicken. The chef noticed my pale skin as he served the chips and buns and suggested that I should try the milder extra hot flavour instead. I insisted that I can handle any spicy food, I’ve been eating Nandos for years. He told me that Mochachos is a lot spicer and suggested that I let him serve me the extra hot chicken but he will supply a bottle of Dynamite sauce so I can carefully season the chicken to to the level that I can handle. I agreed and when the chicken was placed on my table I cut off a large chunk and scoffed it down. My throat started burning a little bit but was not too bad. I then seasoned my chicken with Dynamite sauce and gave that a go. My face started dripping with sweat and my eyes started stinging. As hot as it was, I managed to eat it all. Even my head started sweating from underneath my hair. When I left the restaurant the windy breeze started to freeze my head. It was a terrible feeling. My head was sweating all night and then over 24 hours after I had eaten the chicken I had to endure the painful Ring of Fire. Now I’m walking around like a sexual hazing rituals victim aboard the HMAS Ballarat.

This place does a bad job at both burgers and«Mexican» dishes. Food is generally under-seasoned, not hot enough and kind of limp. I gave it two chances and I won’t be heading back.

Made the mistake of stopping in for lunch. Ordered a chicken burger which was so dry and tasteless. They couldn’t even seem to fry chips properly. What a disappointment.

Thought we would try mochahos for lunch, my partner ordered a bean burrito while I ordered chicken chimichangas. After about 10 minutes the burrito arrived and would best be described as cool to touch. After another 5 minutes my chimichanga arrived, and had clearly been microwaved. Cutting into it I discovered that it was actually beef and still frozen in the centre! The owner was there at the time, and thankfully they gave me a refund. I wouldn’t go here again.

I had great expectations for this place but was really disappointed by the reality. The rump steak burrito I had was average to be honest. Nothing I would go out of my way for. The only saving grace was the chips they have. I would say that they’re similar to(if not the same as) Nando’s Peri-Peri chips. Definitely worth getting. I’ll probably have to try something else on the menu if I give this place another go but for now — I’d probably look elsewhere. Unless it’s about the chips.
