Have been meaning to check this place out for a while. Very inconspicuous quant airy and cosy feel. Menu looks pretty darn good and the table next to us looked eve better! Pity at the time of visit it was just before 3. Mental note… leave room for an afternoon meal. Had this baguette chicken thing. Probably not the best thing used to judge them on. So will definitely come back to try the breakfast menu and update this review. Coffee was ok. Bit too milky. Service is great. eclectic local patrons.

Great café, love the atmosphere and décor. Service is friendly and always accomodating. Most of all, the food is outstanding. It’s always busy so you might have to queue a little. Coffee is very strong, if you like it that way. Otherwise, they have great fresh juices. Only issue for us is that it’s not massively toddler friendly. It’s fine for little babies or children who can sit and draw quietly but otherwise it’s can be a bit difficult with a young walker. It’s just not that type of café. But as I said, it’s a great little place and we love going(without the little one).

Great place for breakfast or lunch. It’s not often I can’t choose between all the great meals on a menu. Will def have to go a few more times to try a few more dish. Reasonably priced and wonderful service from the staff

What a funky place in the burbs. Just what you’ve been looking for. The staff are extremely helpful and it is child friendly establishment. The food is lovely and it is refreshing to have such a great place on the outskirts of town.

Another win for the local cafes! Hendriks ticks a lot of boxes — a trendy industrial vibe, an interesting menu that extends beyond your usual breakfast choices and a counter of delicious treats to have with coffees. If you’re after something decadent for breakfast(or just craving whisky), try the whisky hotcakes with bacon and pecan praline. The french toast complete with figs, orange blossom honey and Persian fairy floss is designed for sweet-tooths on Sunday mornings. But if you’re after something a little bit different, go the Indo fritters or the po’boys. To be honest, if you don’t order a po’boy for lunch and someone else on your table does, you’re going to be giving them some serious food envy eyes. The one improvement I could suggest? Please, please start offering a filter or a pour over coffee and keep us bayside coffee lovers even more content.
