Solei Bar and Lounge

Solei is seriously, as good as it gets. Especially in Moonee Ponds. It’s a cool, retro-​ish restaurant, bar, lounge, and comedy club. And the comedy here seriously ROCKS! They regularly host some of the biggest comedic names in Oz, and well known Melbournians — in fact this week its Dave Callan and Jodie Hill, both on Melbourne radio.
The front of the bar is more demure and relaxed, offering cheap beer and TEQUILA! Down the back is where the retro style really kicks in, awesome prints and knick knacks of old muso’s and rock legends. Undercover side bit for smokers and large dance floor — it’s the sort of place you can go for dinner and stay all night with your friends.
Great for dancing, but also great for conversation because it’s big enough and separate enough to enjoy both. The restaurant produces some top notch meals, and their $ 50 dinner and comedy show deal is just way waaaaayyy too good to pass up. Three course delicious meal and a great night of laughs, cheap drinks and dancing. What more could you want?
