If you are not in the beaches, this place is not worth driving for — and this is not even close to the best Mexican you can have. So if you are on the search for the best Mexican in Sydney, I will save you some time, this is not it. However, if you are in the area and looking for a place to eat. Especially if you don’t mind dirty, simple and slightly stereotypical ‘touristy’ Mexican, then look no further. Yes, if you’ve ever been to Mexico, or eaten at an authentic Mexican place, you might be slightly offended by this place. Yes, it is what you’d imagine a place would look like if decorated by someone who has watched a Speedy Gonzales cartoon. And the menu is tacos, barritos and nachos — and things slightly taste the same, whether you order tacos, barritos or nachos. But as I said, if you are looking for good portions, and cheap prices. This place is good. If you know what you are expecting, this you won’t be disappointed. Yes, this is not the Flying Fajitas Sisters, but it is good for what it is — and that is a family Mexican restaurant on the beaches.

The return of Tex Mex in my mind has been a long wait. The lime frozen Margies are the way to start a meal, fresh and delicious with just the right amount of salt. The potatoe skins are as good as I remember along with the chimichanga. But best of all are the rib which fall off the bone with no effort at all. My favorite Texas /Mexican in Sydney is finally back.
