Great location, décor etc and a casual place to meet friends(and english folk) but i had the crumbed shrimp with chips and it was bland as hell & overpriced.

This is a great pub with a great location. Lots of screen projectors and panels with sports on and more. Order food at the bar and it comes out in no time. Nice outdoor area with a great view as well. Definitely the best pub in the area.

I went to The Boat for a nice relaxed summer lunch and a catch up drink with my dad. It was the perfect setting the day crew is relaxed and I was probably the youngest person in here. The décor is really nice with mismatched fabric couches and twisted ropes attached to the ceiling. This place has really nice touches for example in the bathroom(which are really nice) they have a sunscreen dispenser and at the bar a huge Neptune statue also vending machines next to the toilets rooms which I found nice. They meals are on the pricey side you won’t find many things under $ 18. I was tempted to get the baked potato because then you get soup with it and a middy for under $ 20. I got the Caesar salad and dad got the salt and pepper squid. The food came out promptly and my meal was quite nice. The salt and pepper squid was not really salty or peppery but the batter was nice and light and not over done, the sauce was also good. I would have liked to have sat in the outside area it looks beautiful overlooking the swish marina but it was way too hot for my moon tan albinism. They also have free venue hire for functions which I think is great!

Right up there with the best fish and chips of all time. Im not sure what it is, the fresh white fish, the crispy batter or even the amazing location and vibe that the Boat has. Sitting outside on a summers night looking over the marina with a nice beer and fish and chips is pretty much a dream. They have live bands on weekends and quiz nights and it seems whatever is going on at The Boat it is bound to be a good night.

The Boat is a good relaxed, family friendly place to go for a refreshing beer and some quality pub food. It is pretty much the aussie version of a typical English pub, there are regulars, sport on the tv, and filled with poms. But it has a real chilled out vibe, it’s quite dark inside which is cooling, but if you’re there on a summers afternoon, sitting out by the water and watching boats come in and out of the marina is much more fun. It is a great place to head to after you’ve been at the beach, out on a boat or running around all day, you can come and relax have a good meal, I’d recommend the chilli mussels, so amazing! Sip on a nice cold one, and just kick back.

Is your scene middle-aged English people, families and pirates? Then the boat is the perfect spot. It really rocks off(?) when the live band plays and they have some pretty kick-ass food. The entire place is nautical themed, which is probably quite relevant for a place named the boat. The merman/woman(not quite sure) scares the shit out of me every time I walk past. And one night they had a display full of apples due to the cider fest. Score– free apples with my water and lemon wedge. Don’t you love being designated driver? For youngsters, it’s a good place if you can’t be bothered dressing up but want to go out with some good friends, have a chat and dance around a hay bail with some old folk.
