Takeaway review. Shallot pancakes were the worst I have had. Dry, cold, only a few skerricks of shallot, no flavour. Steamed pork dumplings(6 for $ 10!) not much flavour aside from pork. And only a small tub of vinegar to accompany it. The special fried rice was not very special. And it is overpriced, even for Park Rd. We were staying in the apartments upstairs and asked to charge back to our room, which they can do but add a 10% surcharge for the pleasure! If they delivered to room I would accept this but not just as a method of payment.

Went here for my fathers birthday. We ordered a banquet. The food come out in an interesting order but always at good intervals. I can’t really fault the food and the service was great. Only reason I haven’t given it a five stars is I guess there was something slightly missing. However I would definitely go again. It wasn’t cheap but I’d say it was worth it. I would recommend the coral trout it was amazing. The deep fried shredded mandarin beef was also a big hit. For a starter the fried king prawns and calamari were very nice and simply cooked letting the seafood do the talking. Nice location and great for big groups however I’d be making a reservation.

«It seems like you have put my food on a boat.» Long have I heard China Sea at Milton to be upmarket in the way in which everything is done. Was a little bit disappointed when I rocked up to realise that it was very similar to a lot of other Chinese restaurants in the area or even the valley. However, once the food started to come out, I couldn’t give a damn about the ‘silver spoon’ service. The food was great and flavours were intense. Just the way I like my food. It was good that the waiters seemed to have a sense of humour and joked around with our party and had a laugh or two. And even with one of our dishes, they served it in a large wooden boat. Can’t say that I’ve had that before. One thing that was … ‘Interesting’ was that on the wall right by our table, they had a big TV. The TV was playing a looped video of fish, turtles, crabs and other marine life. Was interesting in the fact that you kept getting distracted by giant fish in the wall staring at you. But no bother. The only downside to the night was the bill at the end of the meal. Was quite hefty for the amount of food that we actually had. Overall a great night with friendly service being provided and damn tasty food.

The food is very good, but it is VERY expensive. I can’t see paying that much for Chinese food.
