Eastern Silk Exotic Textiles

Visiting Eastern Silk is like visiting a sanitised, hassel free indian bazaar. This miraculous shop is an old house located on James Congdon Drive in Mile End. The rooms just keep going on and on, as you find your way through, then up, then down. There are so many appealing colours and materials, you’ll want to touch everything so make sure you have a bit of time if it’s your first visit to this retail fairyland.
I pretty much use this place as a one stop shop whenever a woman in my life requires a gift. They have a phenomenal range of cushions (many are silk), scarves, blankets, dresses and tops (although clothing is not their ‘thing’). Heaps of ottomans, leather bags, jewellery which is both silver and beady.
The prices are sooo reasonable and they often have amazing specials so I highly recommend you check it out for yourself because I really can’t do the place justice. ALSO — make sure you ask if they can do you a better deal because if the boss is there he loves to add discounts!
