I Have been going here since it opened and a finer Café you cannot find in Perth. The Staff are all fantastic, the space is amazing, Coffee and food perfect and the eclectic mix of patrons is the cherry on the cake but oh no not for Michelle B who wouldn’t know a good Café if it smacked her in her chops!!! Stick to Coffee Club and Dome Michelle where the staff are robots and the food is made in a factory the night before… I love the Spire and look forward to every visit

Saw reviews on Unilocal so thought we would give it a try for breakfast. First we always have coffee before we order food. Coffee was very average. I asked for a menu and was told there isn’t one. They said all the food on offer was on the counter. Wasn’t keen with the idea of having a bacon and egg wrap that had been sitting on the counter under glad wrap. Needless to say we didn’t get breakfast here

Dropped in to Crooked Spire to grab some takeaway coffees and lunch in the morning. Walked in and was amazed at the set up of the café. It’s definitely hipster hahaha! Coffee was amazing and the charcoal prosciutto sandwich I had for lunch and toasted at my clients office was tasty. Will be coming back again to just enjoy a nice dine in café experience next time :)

Cool digs with a great vibe and very friendly staff who are generous with their smiles. Looks like a comfy space to hang with friends, but the coffee? Meh. Didn’t hit the spot.

I had an early start in Midland this morning — and no milk at home — so I needed somewhere to grab my morning coffee and something light(or tempting) for breakfast, and decided to visit Crooked Spire. The first thing that stands out is that it’s BIG inside — there’s no way you could afford to do something like this closer to the city. Seating is all benches and couches, but at least there’s plenty of them. Coffee is from Yahava which I often find to be overrated but I enjoyed my cup today — maybe they just know how to make it properly. When it comes to food, there isn’t a menu as such, just a selection of cakes /slices on the counter plus some savoury wraps. I tried some rather good banana bread, which was toasted and brought to my table — very quickly I should add — with some Lurpak for $ 5. Great stuff. No frills but good product, efficient service and a $ 10 breakfast — sometimes that’s all you need.

Right near Midland station is a place where kids are welcome and the coffee is good. The food was okay. At 10am there was a small selection of pre-made sandwiches that can be grilled, or pre-made salads. There is an array of baked goods such as brownies, blondies, marshmallow desserts and other sweets(I am yet to try, they looked soooo good!). I also saw some raw balls. I didn’t see a menu so guessing it is just what is in the cabinet. Staff were 20 somethings who were nice enough. I had a chicken and avocado ciabatta(about $ 11) that was toasted which was good but nothing special. The flat white did cost $ 4.50 which I thought is a bit pricey for Perth, let alone Midland but it was good. We had a fresh juice(I hope it was freshly squeezed but didn’t ask) which was $ 5. I loved the décor, there is a giant shark hanging from the ceiling, industrial ceilings and warehouse look. Street art can be found on the walls as well as geometric patterns. The furniture is casual and laid back with worn but clean leather couches, wood and iron stools and benches. The blackboard behind the service station was even on trend! There is room for several prams so ideal for a small mothers group, a play pen and a small bouncer(yay!). There is a large toilet/change table to use which is a bonus! I can’t say that I saw a high chair(my babe is too young for one). It is a bit far for me to visit weekly but I will definitely be back… just because it’s cool and it caters for young mums. They get 4 stars as I am reviewing this based on amenities and the coffee, but I wouldn’t come here especially for a sandwich, just a coffee and to try the marshmallow dessert or brownie(I was trying to be good and didn’t try it. Regretting that as life is too short to be good!).

Ambiance is really good, has that very hipster feel. High ceilings make this place very breathable during summer. Just wish there were more tables. The selection of coffee and drinks are very good. Food menu is limited to sandwiches, salads and pastries so this is not the place to go to if you’re really hungry. But if you want a chill brunch or light snack or just a place to have small talk, this is the place to go.

Midland has just received a taste of the western suburbs in the form of ‘the crooked spire’. Walking through the doors you immediately get the sense that this place is groovy, funky, on trend and doesn’t take itself too seriously. Ordered 2 flat whites and a white chocolate and pistachio blondie slice, as well as a blueberry and white chocolate cake thingie. The coffee is not yet on point but you can see that they are trying and wanting to please. A well trained barista would fix this easily however in saying that, the coffee was still quite good. The place is open and groovy with stools or couches scattered around giving off a great relaxed feel. Love this place and will be making it my coffee ‘go too’ haunt in midland. AA++ WILLBEBACKAGAIN… OFTEN!

This place is super eclectic looking, with all sort of art spread throughout, big, worn in chesterfields and communal wooden seating, it’s oozes cool. I treated myself to a iced coffee frappé, but it wasn’t overly icey, but did taste the goods. While I didn’t partake of any of the delicious looking food on offer, it has a sense of «clean eating» or «no preservatives or additives etc» about it. The place is HUGE and appears to have a filming studio as part of it? Catering for the family type also, there was a set of child owners there with their being in a toy prison thing on the floor that it appeared to enjoy. The staff were lovely, there was free water on offer and it wasn’t outrageously priced. I assume they have live bands playing later on party nights and would be a venue I would check out again when in the area.
