Loved this place. Went for my birthday. Our waitress was lovely and the food was great. I got the fish and chips it was huge. The fish was battered perfectly it was light and crispy and not too oily. The chips were amazing and the raspberry white chocolate pudding was sooo good. The only downfall was it took a while to get service to order desert probably due to it being so busy. Overall I would definately go there again and I highly recommend it to others. It is also family friendly which is great the kids meal was cheap and tasted awesome and they have quite a few choices it’s not just the same old fish bites and chips :) and the beers are cheap $$

DUDES! This place does PINTS for less than $ 5! Seriously! Also, they do a decent chicken burger with a big pile of fries for $ 9.90 and they serve it up quickly in a pretty nice beer garden. Winner.

I’ve been coming to this pub for a few years as its close to my work. Food had always been just decent ‘pub grub’ with good value drink prices. However I took my friend there for lunch today to watch the Melbourne Cup, and was very disappointed. She ordered Chilli Prawns and the Calamari. I had the steak sandwich. The prawns she said were just ok, rice was clumpy. The calamari and garden salad was covered in cream sauce and very average. The steak sandwich, which I have enjoyed here in years gone by, was the worst I have ever had. Thin, over-cooked steak, minimal salad slapped between two slices of non-toasted focaccia with a squirt of mayonnaise. Don’t know what has changed in the last couple of years but the food has definitely gone down hill from what we experienced. Thank buddha for the half decent sparkling(albeit, served in wine glasses)

First class in every respect. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, great food and reasonable prices. Seventh Ave truly ticks all the boxes! See you there!

Mmm yummy processed food, tasteless sauces and fatty meat. 7th ave food is disgusting. Pretty much every meal I have gotten from there has been foul. Its the closest pub to my work so I unfortunately end up there most fridays. Food comes out super quick, probably because its just pulled from the fridge and microwaved. Gotta commend them on the alcohol prices tough, they are cheap! They do offer«beer of the month» $ 2.50 middis and $ 5.90 pints. There is usually about 15 old men hanging around the bar with their cowboy hats and steel caps on. Girls, wear longer skirts when going to the 7th.

7th Ave is a great local pub. It has that local feel with a hint of history to it. It is great value and the food is typical pub faire. Perhaps even the last of a real pub feel. It’s not fancy, but not too overly casual either. Just descent food and huge servings! I would definately go here again, when in the area and looking for a nice cold drink and a bite to eat. The service is super quick and effecient.

I have been come to 7th Ave for over 10 years, even when it was called the Council Club! With its pub/restaurant atmosphere it’s a great place for people if any ages to come to. There is usually some kind of entertainment in the bar area every night if the week, and they have some fantastic specials as well! The food and drinks are actually very reasonably priced, and obviously the customers appreciate this, as this place is always busy! Ultimately 7th ave has been a place that I have shared many happy and some sad memories as it has been a place to celebrate birthdays, marriages, and even a wake in the function room. The staff are basically family as they don’t have a high turnover like some other local establishments so you will always know the guy/girl behind the counter. As long as 7th Ave has its doors open they will have a constant supply of loyal customers that keep coming back because of the fantastic service!

We attended a farewell party for a very well loved fellow staff member here for dinner. I never have great expectations of the food here — their angle is quantity not quality. The meals are all of a decent size with generous servings of meat cuts. I ordered the grilled baramundi fillet with Asian greens. The fish was slightly overcooked and dry, and the vegetable were a bit soggy. We also ordered a bowl of wedges to share. They were crispy and hot were the only delicious part of the meal, however the sweet chili sauce for dipping tasted like it was contaminated with something like detergent and was barely edible. Others at our table order the Pad Thai which was quite spicy but nothing amazing, the Beef and Guinness pie which was topped with a very pale disc of undercooked pastry and the pork rib eye with sweet potato mash which was apparently very good. On another visit, despite being assured my meal was gluten free, they obviously do not have a full understanding of contamination prevention with cooking and I suffered gluten«poisoning» later that evening. Food 4.5÷10, venue 5⁄10 service 5.5÷10
