I normally eat here once a week on my way home from work. Casual and friendly. Great service and food is simple but delicious(yes I’ve had the occasional meal where I was disappointed — e.g. gluggy rice with my curry but mentioned it to the waitress and fresh rice was on its way). Some meals like salads are obviously pre-prepared but very fresh and tasty. Wide selection of food to choose from and recommend small-medium pizzas unless you are really hungry Get in before 7pm for the Happy Hour specials but alcohol prices are very reasonable. Good food and service without the pretension!

Very good and delicious food, great service and decent price! Had the scallopini and warm lamb salad, they tasted and looked great. Will be back

Pizza here is very good, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I get a small gourmet vegetarian from here every Friday and it’s always delicious. I recommend ordering pizza here, I have heard however that everything else they make, like lasagna and spaghetti etc isn’t that great, so I would avoid that stuff and just stick to the pizza!

Went here for breakfast when staying in the area. Food and coffee great and the service was quick and attentive. They have a nice patio area which makes for a relaxing outdoor atmosphere.

I’ll start with giving an extra star for being open on Christmas Eve, and the friendly staff, and a great central location. However the food is just OK. Nothing special, and in the Melbourne food scene that’s just not good enough. I ordered the veal parma that comes with a salad and chips. The serving size was enormous, but that aside, too much of a good thing is not good when it comes to food. There was way too much marinara and cheese. The sauce and grease from the cheese made the breading soggy. Not a good texture, and the chips matched that same soggy texture. Will I go back? Sure, if there isn’t anything in the fridge I want to eat, or I don’t feel like venturing to far away from home. In any other city I would give them 3 stars, but competing in the Melbourne market that just don’t stand up to it.

The fact that it was open on Christmas eve was its selling point. Otherwise, the Coffin Bay Oysters(½ dozen for $ 16) were by far the smallest and least tastiest Coffin Bays that I’ve ever had — and they’ve been my favorite since moving Down Under — although they were wholly decent and definitely the cheapest I’ve had.(Maybe that’s why these were so inexpensive???) The tandoori chicken pizza($ 14.30 for 12″) was a bit overloaded with tomato sauce, and served quite burnt to a crisp around the outer diameter.(My partner said his veal parma, $ 23, was overloaded with greasy cheese and the breading was soggy.) As underwhelming as the food was, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Two stars for the food, 4 stars for the service, averages 3 stars. Certainly nothing to write home to mom about…

Pizzas are fab and ready to pick up 10 minutes from calling in the order! I’ve had the fish and chips here as well and cannot complain! Good location, quick service, great staff.
