I 100% do not recommend this place. I walked in there after a night clubbing and I first noticed that they do not have the prices up on their board. My thought is the fact that they take advantage of people who are drunk and charge them more. Anyway, I ordered a lamb kebab with extra meat and he said ‘That’s $ 16′ and I was absolutely shocked. I have never payed that much for a kebab, the maximum amount I pay for one with extra meat is $ 12 so I said to him ‘How much is extra meat?’ and he replied ‘$ 5′. I then said don’t worry about it, I won’t get extra meat and the he said ‘fine, $ 3 for extra meat’ which is still quite a bit. It came to $ 14 and it was a terrible kebab. Huge onions, burnt meat and week old vegetables. I highly recommend not going to this place as they rip you off

I was craving for a kebab and was used to going downstairs to Sahara Lebanon Sydney. This place hit the spot. It’s right downstairs and around the corner of my work place. In a very quiet area. Next to the 7 eleven on king st. They have quite a variety of beef(not mince you can actually see pieces of beef stuck together on the large skewer) chicken, lamb, falafel, baclava, vine leaves etc. I had a mix kebab on pita bread. They also serve it with Turkish bread. I quite like the traditional Leb bread which they don’t have. When I was asking the owner she said that the Leb bread is too dry and the pita is a lot fluffier. I agreed. But I’m just a creature of habit and wanted something I was used too. But in saying that I really enjoyed my mix beef and chicken kebab. Will go back and try the lamb and some baclava. The service was really great and she really explained a lot of her ingredients. Everything seem quite fresh.

We stopped in here for a late night meal. Was not the best kebab I have ever had but I really enjoyed this one. The owner was really friendly and laid back which added to the experience. Our 4 yr and 6 yr old loved the kids version he put together for them. We had chicken kebabs which were very flavourful and well constructed. I would definitely go back.

With Elizabeth II coming to town soon, I’m kind of hoping that the Queens Kebabs will get a little sign saying«by royal appointment». It’d tickle my fancy. That said, that kind of prestige would probably up the price, so I’ll be just as happy if ol’ Lizzy misses out. Except for the unfortunate location on the dodgiest street in Melbourne, Queens Kebabs are fantastic. Nothing surprising about them, it’s pretty much just the standard ingredients for Turkish kebabs; onion, chicken(or lamb, but bugger that), some chili paste, some garlic sauce. In fact, the only surprise is the quality of the kebabs, which are fantastic. In all honesty, they’re possibly the best in Melbourne. Certainly in my top three.
