I walk from the other end of town to get a brisket bagguette or pulled pork burger. Food is excellent

If you walk down Little Collins street and see a bunch of people loitering under a bright yellow awning down the end of an alley, you know you have found Oli & Levi, a hidden gem. The coffee is great and the selection of breakfast tarts are brilliant value. They also offer more substantial food options to take away or sit in at the big communal table. Try a duck baguette for lunch!

Very cute little lane way café that had a constant stream of caffeine seeking customers streaming in on a Monday, mid-morning. Great friendly service, good coffee, and a great atmosphere

This tiny café is located under cheerful yellow awnings, down the bottom of an alley just off little Collins St. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel smug for«discovering», just turn a blind eye to the cluster of fellow patrons in suits all waiting for their morning coffee. This location is perfect for those days when you’re wearing heels. The laneway is sealed. No chance of twisting an ankle on cobble stones! Oli & Levi sticks to a short menu that concentrates on doing a small number of things very well, at a very reasonable price. Breakfast consists of a range of mini egg tarts for $ 2.20 each(like spinach & feta or chorizo), egg and bacon sliders on brioche, or scrambled egg wraps. Lunch hovers around the $ 10 mark and focuses on some of the best sandwiches at this end of town, with salads for those who don’t understand the glory of carbs. Particular highlights are the hot roast duck roll, the slow cooked beef cheek burger, and the Vietnamese coleslaw salad with avocado or chicken. The coffee is consistently good, and service is always prompt and friendly. The succinct range of afternoon treats may tempt you to linger. However, the indoor sitting area is tiny(one big communal table), so be prepared to take-away if you come at a busy time.

Best coffee on this side of the city, the food it’s always fresh and different or with a twist to all the cafes in the area. Can’t wait until Monday to get another coffee from here

There has been a recent café of suburb like cafes in the city of late. It’s refreshing having lunch at these places, but can make the walk back to work all that much harder as it feels you’re at brunch on the weekend. I had the Vietnamese slaw salad with chicken. The serving was quite large and packed a lot of flavour. All the ingredients were fresh, ranging from fresh mint to dried onion. The amount of chicken in the dish was also really generous, which is not always the case with bought salads. I would go here again.

I have just started working in the building opposite of this, tucked out of the way café off little collins st. My first experience there was quite pleasant, and their duck baguette was pretty good. it was the right amount of bread to meat ratio and they dont toast they bake before they serve so its crusty on the out side and warm on the inside. heaven! Today I went back and had their vietnamese slaw with chicken. again it did not disappoint, tangy and crunchy and light, just what i felt like. could have used a bit more chilli, but i was not complaining. I have yet to taste their coffee, but they run a La Marzocco with Allpress coffee. will be making this my regular lunch spot for a while

Small little café with laneway front, order outside and make some friends while you wait for your ¾ soy latte one sugar, or sit inside at the long table and rub elbows with cool suits having their quick morning meetings out of the office. You cannot go past their $ 1.50 little egg pastry thing for breakfast or the roast duck roll($ 11) for lunch. Really friendly staff, who are thankfully not the barista type w@nkers you get around town. I would have to say this place is definitely rad times totes to the power of cowboy shirts.
