Oishii Sushi is located in the Target Centre on Bourke Street(and can also be accessed on through Little Bourke St). The Sushi here is pretty good. The rolls on offer are nothing outside the norm with Tuna, Salmon, Chicken, Prawn and California available. They also have sashimi packs and seaweed salad, as well as a pack that has a bed of rice with all your sushi fillings laid out on top in an open style. Sushi here is fresh and flavoursome and while it’s not the best I’ve tried, the food here is always solid. Prices are average for sushi at around $ 2.50 per roll. In a city where sushi is a plenty Oishii Sushi definitely holds it’s own and is worth trying out if you are looking for a quick bite in the CBD.

This sushi is extremely fresh, even if you are inclined to grab a bargain for discounted sushi towards closing time; why not if the sushi is still fresh right? Exactly. This is a great place to hang out and order a sushi roll(or two) if any unexpected hunger pangs kick in prior to going downstairs and buying the groceries for the week. I have tasted their miso soup as well; not too bad. On this, there are better places to have some of this healthy, cleansing soup within Melbourne. Don’t waste your breath ordering for it. However, continue to waste your breath(joking) for some delicious sushi(hence what the word Oishii means in Japanese) and also the sashimi(on another positive) is one of Melbourne’s best. Again the salmon(raw) is so fresh and great for the pallet with some wasabi. The staff and too polite at times, although being friendly in a food friendly establishment is a great thing. Open and inviting is the flavour of the day as well. Trust me, you will not be disappointed buying your lunch(or a snack to cure those intense hunger pangs) at this establishment if Japanese food resonates with you.
