Since my husbands friends live in the city this is pretty much our regular catch up dinner spot. Marroo has actually changed address now. It’s actually somewhere along little collin street. I love coming here as they do an all you can eat korean bbq during dinner and it’s so tasty and fresh. It’s always my favourite place to drink because they make all these delicious fruit soju’s and rice wine. Good place to eat and drink with your mates. The staff are so attentive of your tables what you need and what they need to take away from your table when you need more space. Super friendly abd always smiling.

First time i’ve tried Korean BBQ, this place did not disappoint. The service was very polite and you may need to ask for their help picking menu items if it is your first time. Our food was delicious and I did enjoy all the varieties available. A really unique experience! I’ll be back.

Disclaimer: I visited on day two of trading when I think they were still getting themselves together. New Korean charcoal BBQ and bar that has opened in a basement in Little Collins Street. First impressions are rather grand. Almost space aged with big industrial lights hanging over the table and silver piping running along the roofline, exhausts as it turns out. The place was packed. Every table filled with local office workers enjoying the relatively cheap meals. As there was 10 of us, we did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Finally seated they were quick to take our order, which was fine by us given we were all fairly ravenous. In terms of food, it started trickling out of the kitchen about 10 minutes later, which is to be expected with a lunch time rush. I ordered the beef along with a friend of mine, and we both felt that is was quite oily. I can’t speak for the rest of my group after this point, because that’s when I felt the first hit of al foil against my teeth with fillings. I’m shuddering thinking about it. When I raised it with the staff, they did seem a little confused but did offer an apology. AT the end of the day, I’ve experienced nicer Korean food, but price and location were some winning factors. Up until the foil experience, they were going to get a 3, but I’ve brought them down because of this fact. No doubt my team will be back, as they can cater for large groups, but I’m fairly certain we will be ringing first to lock a table down.
